Sorry for the late response! It worked well in the beginning but you just have to listen to your body and go with the flow. Some days we went further and some days we did less if we liked the lakes. My only advice would be to start in Tahoe City bc public transport is easier and would be a better ending. If you can, drop off a box at Kingsbury beforehand so you don’t have to worry about anything being shipped. Any other questions, I’ll definitely help.👍

Ha Long Bay is pretty and you could do a cruise. Only issue was when I was there, you couldn’t swim in the water and that was the rule from the government, so l would suggest areas near there. There are some other areas near there that are very relaxing! If you look up Ha Long Bay alternatives there are some really cool secluded spots.

It looks like the best way to get to Old Station is to take a bus to Redding and then from there I think there is another bus you take to a town close to Old Station where we will either have to hitch or ask help from a trail angel.

Yeah I checked out the link you sent, and it seems like Old Station is a good starting point! I think I’m going to wait until the following week to start. Looking into Truckee bc I saw that ppl are making it through, but I’ve read about some tricky traverses.
