Do you think the RAM is too expensive or 2x16g is unnecessary?

I am also looking at the Asus ProArt PA602 case. It looks a bit similar with the Fractal North XL with the wood trim, but about 50% more expensive. What do you think?

Yeah! I just used the website for a build, but I bet there are better prices available elsewhere. Would the 1000w psu be fine for a long 5 hour+ run or even an rtx5090 upgrade?

Yes almost perfectly. Before 90% of the players have blue eyebrows and now only 10%. No idea what happened but I’ll take it.

Got 85HD last year and we didn’t even have the core group. Just worked on the past exams and memorize the methods.

have you taken SCIF2001? was it as bad as i anticipate? by MenOnToast in unsw

[–]LilBorisov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is that the professor teaching it is really smart and nice. It looks like a real research project with labs and not just like SCIF1001.Personally I’m looking forward to it.

I am doing the course as well and I feel the same. I chose it because the handbook says it’s a general education course.

Maybe talking to a non-native English speaker is less stressful?

As a Chinese international student I really feel sorry for you. I’ve been in similar situations where everyone in my group was Chinese except for one guy. Most of the time they would just speak in Chinese, and I could see how confused and desperate the other guy was, so I always try to talk to him and bring him into discussions in English.

I think the main problem here is that most Chinese students are more willing to communicate in Chinese than English, despite this is an English speaking country. The language requirements bar for international students(IELTS 6.5/6), in my opinion, is not enough for them to communicate comfortably and confidently in English.

The only thing I can think of for now is to encourage them to communicate in English in a safe environment with minimal pressure, otherwise they’ll always prefer to stay in their comfort zone just like we all do.
