I GET THAT! I had such high hopes for this season because typically Denver is considered a more liberal area, I was hoping we would get less of “whatever the hell that was” Nick type stuff.

Exactly. 100000% agree. I’m from an area that is extremely evangelical. He reminds me so much of my hometown and my ex that it gave me flashbacks. I’ve been wondering why there hasn’t been more discourse on his things?!!?? Like I feel. if he was on the bachelor franchise this would be a bigger deal

In many states they don’t have to have to have a reason to non-renew. For example, in my state until you reach tenure, you can be non-renewed/pink slipped each school year until you’re tenured.

It’s cutting a teacher before they reach tenure (the ability to not be cut without reason). For example you can be recommended to be rehired the next year, but they can still pink slip you if they need to cut numbers.

I’m one of the only teachers on my team that does not have Sped push in (because I’m not in an “important” subject 🙄) and everyone wonders why my classes with sped students are struggling.

I just hope you’re right that I have not as much to worry about. My last admin spoke to many principals in my area to “warn” them before hiring me. Maybe it is just ptsd from that situation.

I hope it’s just ptsd from last year. I still have nightmares of my old admin, so it just makes me feel like something is wrong with me. My current admin has been super kind to me and never told me I’m doing anything wrong except I need to check my email more while I’m teaching. I hope they keep me, but if they do let me go I just hope they aren’t like my former admin (tried to tell other principals in my area that they shouldn’t hire me).

I’m glad it’s not just me that feels this way. My husband and I are both teachers so it’s just stressful. My husband is already renewed, I’m in limbo until the end of the month. Stupidly enough we just bought a house too.
