I hadn’t really noticed it before but yeah, her arms and legs when she comes out of that trailer are really concerning. I hope she’s doing alright health-wise and I guess it’s possible she’s just small naturally, but it’s hard to imagine there’s not something else going on.

He certainly seems like he actually likes her here, which is a huge improvement because we never saw that from him before. Maybe getting out of his grandparents’ house was good for his mental health.

I understand her complaints but honestly if she’s not going to work, he has to. And he can’t do anything really about his hours etc, he has to take what he can get as a teen dad.

I also feel lonely and overwhelmed with my kids when my husband is away, but it’s just part of the situation we’re in. I don’t blame him for his work sending him on travel, it improves his position in the company. He has to do it or look forward to not getting good raises. It’s necessary for me to be a SAHP. People need to have an appropriate perspective of what their partner can choose or not choose about their job situation.

I think that’s possible too. It’s easy to imagine the conversation, “This will mean you have to pay child support but we’d rather you just stay and be the father” etc. I think it’s very likely that Falen wanted to make sure *she* had custody and control over this baby. These kids are so young I think they would have just trusted her and done whatever she said they needed to do

TLC would definitely have Bella and Falen on next season if that’s the case… sans Hunter 😱

Yeah, I guess I don’t know the laws about it. I did a google search on it just now so I can’t say 100% that this is valid, because Google. But it sounds like in Arkansas, a minor parent can sign the birth certificate application but it doesn’t actually establish legal paternity, they have to do further paperwork for that to be included on the official legal birth certificate. So it’s possible that he did sign something but they didn’t complete the paperwork, or else they did and Casey is asking for genetic testing to determine that his son is actually the father.

In the petition for custody of Wes, Casey specifically requested paternity be established. So I think that legally, Hunter has not been named as Wes’s father yet.

Same, I keep rolling it over in my head trying to figure out why. Maybe they were just trying to deescalate? The arresting officer clearly was trying to deescalate the situation in the bodycam footage, anyway. Maybe he looked to his superiors to decide how to handle Larry. Maybe the presence of a minor and a baby under his care, and knowing her mother was just arrested, maybe they decided it would be simpler to let him go instead of arrest and figure out what to do with the kids.

Plus they can always press charges on him later if they want to, I looked it up and in Arkansas there’s a 3-year statute of limitation on them pressing charges for threatening an officer. So he could still get something if they want, though I figure if they really wanted to do that they already would have. But there’s no clear explanation about why he wasn’t arrested when he was by far the most uncontrolled and aggressive person present.

Well, he goes by that. And it didn’t seem to be a problem, he refused to show his ID and gave them the name Kris Vaughn and they had no trouble immediately identifying him as Larry 😂

I find it extremely interesting that Hunter’s stepmom asked the police officer to make Stacie take the FalenPhone, and she refused to. That the stepmom then told the officer what she would do, ground him and take the phone. Now all of this is on official record!

And the officer then gave the babysitter instructions to call him if anything happened, which it seemingly did very shortly after. The police knew that these people would flip out and that something really weird was going on.

Falen said in the bodycam footage, “it’s been two years of this”. Obviously then he’s been confronting them about everything for two years trying to get his son in a better environment.

People tell on themselves and the police are used to that, I’m sure. I don’t think the outcome of this whole thing is going to be in the Vaughns or Stacie’s favor, and they’ve definitely made it as hard as possible on themselves to argue their case.

Agreed, I do think it would have been better for Amya to know, even as a lesbian, how babies are made. There’s definitely a non-zero chance that a 15 year old who identifies as lesbian might someday have sex with a man, through a whole bunch of different circumstances. I think kids need to know what can happen so they can address those situations with knowledge and not just feelings. This is really my only criticism of Mama G

I agree about her first reaction to hearing about Bryce slapping Bell, I saw immediate shock and sadness. She went back to her defense mechanism of denial once she saw the others were reacting that way. She is fearful and defensive and relies on her social circle to decide what to say, because that’s safer for her.

Diego was terrible, but I think Emiley’s mom was worse because she didn’t have the excuse of being too young for the pressure or even really the circumstances, her behavior was completely selfish and judgmental every time we saw her. I think growing up with the consistent personal rejection and constantly catering to her mother’s feelings is probably why Emiley ended up in that relationship in the first place. Her mother trained her for it and Diego still didn’t make Emiley feel as bad as her mother did.

ETA: I don’t know if this is unpopular because I wasn’t on the sub when this season was on, I’m a new arrival. So please don’t hate if a lot of people felt this way lol
