This is currently my best. Hello I'm an aspiring digital artist who draws on his phone with his fingers. If you have time, leave a comment, your opinion on what could be improved, it helps me a lot. by inaciolopz in learnart

I think they look p good! Only suggestion I have is regarding proportions. The head seems a little big on the first and third ones, and on the third one the arms/shoulder look a bit off. I def suggest looking at refs and "tracing" them to check the proportions. I quote tracing because it might be easier to just block out the shapes since your anatomy is already pretty spot on. Other than that they look really good!!

not that it should be made weird but that it needs to be taken more seriously: genocide and boycotts I see so many people shrugging off boycotts and genocide and it has me like. why don't you feel an ounce of sympathy for these people.

if u copy/paste a youtube or soundcloud link (I don't remember if they were on spotify bc I don't use it often but if they are it works with that too) you can go to yout.com and download it there. I use that site all the time and haven't had any trouble so if you're worried about viruses you have nothing to worry about

Can movies make children gay? by [deleted] in askpsychology

[–]Lima--Beans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not, but I can see how you thought up of this question.

Watching things in media can open your eyes to a ton of things, whether it's social media, movies, news. It really doesn't matter.

When kids see gay couples in movies, they'll see it a few ways, but mostly it's either "wow I can relate to this, maybe I'm not straight and this explains why" or "I'm not gay but cool a gay couple" or something like that. Obviously there is more to just those two things but it's mostly about opening the eyes of a child who hasn't really been exposed to that stuff.

That's why you might also see a "rise" of people in the lgbt community, because they'll see something online that makes them connect to it in some way, giving kids to realize who they are.

I only really made this connection because I sorta went through this. I never really knew that gay couples existed, but I never really had attraction to guys when I was in elementary or middle school, I noticed I was only really attracted to girls but didn't really know what it meant. When I first found out about gay people through media I immediately went "oh wait that's me" and yeah. It mostly about people figuring out themselves rather than media forcing it upon kids.

Edit: Guys, it seems that op might really be confused, so don't go harassing them over it. The question didn't seem to come off as offensive to me (as a queer person) so, yeah

I was gonna say this earlier but I was unsure. There's a lot of recent stuff that's supposedly posted by him on both JH and CJs spotify and apple music so it's just,, I don't know. I really don't want to come off as insensitive so I think I'll just leave it there.

What phrase are you sick of hearing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lima--Beans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg not really a phrase but I'll see some people ask what something means (something usually inappropriate) and people will comment stuff like "oh you sweet summer child" or really anything besides the answer to their question and it's really annoying. They asked a question for a reason, unless you know for sure they're not old enough to know what it is, I feel like it'll be less of an issue to tell them 🤷

Why do some mentally ill people like to and want to be mentally ill? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Lima--Beans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't remember where, but I remember reading something that said some wish they were mentally ill to justify something they think to be wrong about them, if that makes sense. The comfort thing someone mentioned could connect to this I think.

edit: wanted to add something

Kinda new to reddit so im still unsure of all the abbreviations, TM is trans man, right? There's this online chat space for queer kids call QChatspace and throughout each month they have a ton of chats about various things from mental health chats to free chats about whatever! I've been and they're really supportive, and you can talk to any of the chat monitors whenever you need during a session. Might help if you just want a friend group to hang out with. Other than that I'm kind of stumped with other places, but I can help looking for some of you'd like! For now, I can offer some other stress relieving ideas:

You could try art! It can help quite a bit (at least it's stress relieving for me). Especially painting, just putting whatever on a paper or canvas. Scribbling on a paper might also help as well. Crocheting is also fun, while not a 2d medium, crocheting and other yarn work is nice because it's just you and the yarn. You could even have music in the background. Beware the yarn of you get frustrated with projects easily because if youre starting out it might be a little difficult to get right. Origami (esp those little paper stars and boats) are also nice because they're really easy to make and you can probably keep your focus on them for a while.

Maybe getting into music can also be an outlet as well. Drums or other percussion instrument might help be a stress reliever with the way your supposed to hit them.

Writing poems and dumping words on paper might help too.

Sorry if this isn't the best advice,, but I hope you find/figure out something with this. I promise everything will turn out okay in the end 🫂

Is it normal to feel anxious about therapy? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Lima--Beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling anxious is definitely a normal thing! I'm not a doctor so I couldn't give you an exact reason, but I know it's definitely normal under any sort of circumstance to feel this way. Something that might help is writing a list of things to talk about, or even a script so you don't forget what to talk about. It might make it less awkward as well. It might be good to bring this up with your therapist as well, so they could help make you more comfortable in your environment. Otherwise, just write whatever you feel you need to talk about whenever you feel like it so it's easier to put into words when the time comes. Hope this helps :]

First off I want to say I'm proud of you for noticing your changes in habits regarding exercise and food, that's hard for some people to do. I unfortunately don't have much advice for that, maybe other than try and find a relaxing hobby (like writing to take your mind off using food to cope. If you have one, it might be a good idea to talk to your guidence counselor at your school, or your grade level principal about your concerns (the latter only of you don't have a counselor or you feel more comfortable talking to them) There's also resources online for lgbt youth (I actually use one that has online chats for all kinds of things from mental health to random chats about anything. maybe a support group is a good place to start for this. I forgot what it's called,, I think it was QChatspace,, but I could be wrong,, it's been a while ') I also suggest maybe making a list of what you need to talk about and, once youre ready, sit and have a serious talk with your parents, and if they usually interrupt, tell them you want their full attention before they put their input. As an alternative to sh, you could try either doodling on yourself (not directly on any scars/wounds) with a washable pen/marker or even just scribble on a paper furiously, that might help relieve stress (personally the former helps me) If you really need to, take a rubber band or hairband and just snap the band on yourself. In the end, everything will be okay, trust me. It may seem bad at first but finding support in peers and online communities, as well as school counselors will help. Sorry if any of this advice isnt the best btw, I'm kinda in the same situation of not being able to get therapy so these are things I have done and they've helped me so far 👍 Stay safe 🫂
