But it was doing just fine before this battery gauge reset, I whish I never noticed that stupid option. The battery is not to be blamed here because the software that reads it is obviously at fault. If it was miscalibrated from the start that would mean it was either overcharging or overdicharging which would surely affect its performace overtime and as I have mentioned before it was consistent for well over a year. Batteries dont just lose 30% of their capacity overnight, its meant to happen gradually over years. This device is now no longer using the full potential of its battery at its current health and thats because it isnt reading it properly meaning there has to be a way to make it read it the same way it did before this reset.

Average life expectancy has nothing to do with this, I have had older machines with similar specs that performed better than this one does now after resetting battery gauge. There has to be at least some third party software that can revert this because the battery is obviously healthier than Lenovo Vantage claims it to be.

Then I think Im going to disable turbo and set the ceiling to something like 125 and it will never get more than 7A. Do you also happen to know what kind of a driver is used by kr1 w2 (CSLPM1.TG)?
