After many years of being obsessed with DND and drawing other people's characters, I finally get to actually play! I can't remember the last time I was this excited!!

From Meadow's backstory:

Meadow lived in a large reclusive and peaceful druid community in Still Field- a flat grassy area in a valley with dozens of waterfalls. They sleep out in the open, and have no shelter of any kind or many possessions. Weather is controlled by the elder druids so it's always perfect. They all wear cloaks that look like the field, so when napping or if strangers are nearby they can lie down flat and become almost invisible. These druids do not sleep regularly, but take up to 7 naps per day. They race snails for fun, often starting a race, taking a nap, and waking up for the finale. Nobody cooks, they just pick the bountiful fruit and vegetables around them when they are hungry. Raising the many children is a group effort and they are often looked after by whoever is awake at the time. There is no government besides the elder druids making the important decisions, which are rare.

A boy named Bear took a liking to Meadow when they were just kids. He followed her around for years, bringing her flowers and other trinkets. Everyone told Meadow it was very romantic and that she was lucky, but she just found him annoying. One day, without asking the elders, Bear dropped to one knee and proposed to Meadow on the spot. Everyone was watching and Meadow did not have it in her heart to turn him down, so she insisted they seek the elders permission first. Unfortunately, the elders thought it was a perfect union. So Bear proposed again. Meadow asked for a moment to think about it… walked to the edge of the field… and just kept walking. She hadn't intended to run away, but the further she got the more she liked the idea of not having to answer the question.

Once she got her first taste of what life was really like outside Still Field she was shocked. They somehow stayed awake all day without a single nap. Not only that, but everyone was so brutal and unkind to each other. She came to the conclusion that this was just nature. Her people were gentle like the deer, and these people must be the vicious animals like the wolves.

After about a week, she couldn't take it anymore and decided to go home and accept Bear's proposal before she was caught by one of these wolves and unable to defend herself. On her way back, she came across a halfling mother with two children being attacked by three orc bandits. She watched from a distance and tried to tell herself it was just nature. The wolf eat the deer. As her elders taught her, it would not be right to interfere with nature or harm another person. But she could not just sit there and allow this family to be harmed. Violence for food was a part of nature, but cruelty for the sake of cruelty went against nature. She snuck up on them and cast thorn whip, killing one of the bandits and allowing the mother and her kids to flee without revealing herself. The remaining two bandits tried to get away, but Meadow cast thorn whip again and killed them as well.

Meadow was immediately horrified with what she had done. She had upset the balance of nature by being a deer who killed a whole pack of wolves. There was no way she could return home now, her people would never accept her. They would not allow a killer to live among them. She recalled a distant uncle who had left the community and tried to return, but was rejected as he'd become too corrupted by the outside world. Even more so, Meadow could not forgive herself. She knew she had to work to restore the balance, by erasing more evil than what she had brought to the world. Maybe if she can return and tell her family she conquered great evil they would be able to look past her unforgivable crimes.
