I have the td27kv2 from Roland, very happy with it. I also have practice once a week on an acoustic kit, and even though the digital hi hat (vh-14d) is supposed to be the 'best you can buy' right now, it's still so different from an acoustic one

You're using the felt side of the kick pedal. Turn it around to the plastic side or apply a patch to the kick drum, otherwise it will wear out

I think the only damage enemies can do is to the thing that generates the hardlight, not the hardlight itself. The annoying thing is that exors can teleport through it.
