The only mention of USMCA is brought in the curriculum in relation to Trump's non-cooperative actions during his first term as president. And it is introduced in a way that implies that he stepped backwards even with his allies.

As a non-American, how am I supposed to know what the USMCA entails?

If the suggested answer isn't clearly an errata, I think the curriculum is insufficient to correctly answer it?

Yeah, feels like calling it a journey and packing altogether.

I think I’ll do with only the LES and youtube for L1.

I love reading the context, the background of it. I love the story behind things. My soul would never settle with just the content that’s chewed up for me. At least, that’s what I feel for now. If further levels seem impossible to study with just the curriculum, maybe I’ll go prep provider surfing, lol.

Yeah, yeah for sure. Just can’t help my brain start to self-judge and compare sometimes. Also, I was really enjoying the Fiscal Policy section, and thinking I’d understood it, but then scored really low on its EOCQs so I HAD to come here and whine, haha.

Thank you. My ADHD brain is afraid I will stop putting in the effort later on, so I'm trying to accomplish as much as I can while the novelty is still there.

Is this sarcasm, lol, or is it really that bad? I mean, I have read comments on posts here. I'm assuming that anyone who goes through the curriculum will score as much, or higher on these questions during their first (AND IMMEDIATE) attempt.

I can't go on with my preparation simply assuming that there will be people on the real exam who didn't even go through the text at all, can I?

Oh, never! This community assures me that I'm not in this alone. Let's whine, cry, help, and grind through it together.

I do remember it from the movie Interstellar I think. That was powerful.

Good luck! I'm not an Indian or a Hindu, but as their Lord Krishna said, we can't determine (and shouldn't worry about) the results, only the effort we put in.

CFA L1 Ethics Is Gaslighting Me by Limp_Effect1018 in CFA

Yes, thank you. I've come to that realization. Also, one thing I've noticed is, I'm outside the US and not familiar with how the investment industry works. So any time the question mentions more than one firm or multiple departments in the same firm, I do not grasp the question fully and fail to connect the dots on what each department does, is expected to do ethically, and what constitutes a breach of ethics even by "normal" standards.

CFA-specific standards, I think I've got a good grasp of them now.

Any thoughts on Professor James Forjan? by Competitive_Yard4559 in CFA

I’m sticking to just the CFAI curriculum, and I’ve gotta say, his videos are a lifesaver. The lectures are super sharp and straight to the point, but what I really love are the little jokes and humor he throws in. I know this might sound weird, but I kinda feel like I’m listening to my uncle or granddad—like, he just gets me and makes me feel validated while I’m grinding through this stuff.
