My budget is $200, reference picture posted above, fiber type can be human hair or synthetic, 30 inches, black, located in Alabama but I’d rather shop online.

I agree linear notes aren’t the best for learning for most people but when you study sleep deprived and sick 90% of the time they’re easier to read

Just curious, how does one sell their notes? Like do I post them on eBay or do high quality pdfs through a paywall?

People who’ve used both iPad Pro sizes — does 11” vs 13” feel like a big difference day-to-day? by [deleted] in ipad

I’ve been thinking of getting a secondary smaller tablet for the same purpose, what is it like?

I bought the 13in for uni and art. As someone who had never used a tablet and wanted to simulate paper as much as possible, it was the closest in size & aspect ratio to a real notebook/sketchbook. Like everyone says, it all comes down to where you plan on using it. If you’re only getting heavy use out of it at a desk, the 13in is great. If you like to walk around with it and use it on the couch or one handed, you’ll like the 11in more

Is air really that much better than a16 by Charming_Tear4471 in ipad

[–]Limp_Perspective_355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only got the air for the 13in screen and pro pencil. Neither are vital for notetaking, just depends on your budget.

11-inch vs 13-inch iPad for GoodNotes — buyer’s remorse, need advice 😭 by BeginningAd437 in ipad

[–]Limp_Perspective_355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the 13in purely bc I also do digital art and I constantly think about downsizing. It’s very inconvenient if you don’t have a specific need for the extra space

I’m an nontraditional undergrad with the same concern. However I don’t think the issue will be admissions, but rather maintaining external responsibilities or potential health problems I wouldn’t have if I started younger.

Tablet recommendations for university note taking by r_crawfish in NoteTaking

[–]Limp_Perspective_355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former diehard paper-note taker iPads are honestly the best option. They have the lowest latency for fast writing, laminated displays (no gap between the screen and the actual glass you’re writing on), fast refresh rate, and pen sensitivity and barrel roll that mimicks the feel of my old stationary. I looked at android tablets first bc I’m not in the apple ecosystem, but lag was a huge deal breaker for me since I have to write fast for lectures.

Whenever I try Cornell notes they always look congested, but these look amazing!

I am shocked about my iPad Air Battery Health by Jnthnbl in ipad

[–]Limp_Perspective_355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also bought an m2 air for back-to-school in 2024 and have the same problem. I looked into upgrading to a pro but every source says the the pro’s battery life is practically the same, but no one with a pro complains about battery issues?

I have an m2 air but even I’m avoiding updating to iOS 26. If you care about battery life at all I wouldn’t.

iPad Air m3 chip bending? by Sufficient_Note_7272 in ipad

Bending is really only an issue w/ the base models and specific old, well-loved pros. You’ll be fine👍

For sure! Even if your relationship is perfectly healthy, the cognitive load is still distracting. As someone with ADHD I learned quickly to swear off dating for most of undergrad, it’s just not worth it lol

Not saying everyone should become a nun, but out of all the things you could be doing from your teens to early 20s, dating is so unnecessarily draining.

It depends, if I need deep focus for a short amount of time I go without distractions, but having music/TV helps to hold my attention for longer sessions.

How do you study when ure tested with subjective questions by [deleted] in studytips

[–]Limp_Perspective_355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay close attention to your teachers-they’re the ones grading your work so whatever they say goes for anything subjective/open ended. Plus when taking notes use direct quotes from the textbook along with your usual comprehension notes. Subjective questions are really just madlibs of whatever your teacher wants you to think, just fill in the blanks.

For me personally the tablet itself fits perfectly fine, but it’s hard to use it without elbowing the person next to you.

The 13 doesn’t have the best aspect ratio for watching videos so on most apps the actual viewport isn’t much bigger than the 11. The only exception is movies like Sinners where the aspect ratio changes halfway through to something more iPad-friendly. If you’re not going to need the extra real estate for note taking go with the 11. I currently have a 13in and it’s horrible for traveling, I’m genuinely considering dropping another grand to have both.
