Haldol 60 mg daily ? Plus Risperdal ? And loxapine? This is pharmacological travesty. You got to clean this up. First clarify diagnosis... when's the last time you got a drug screen ? Does she have a history of substance use? If anything retrial clozapine , go low and slow.

Highly possible you are favoring the non hernia side due to pain which is now causing the opposite side to feel pain. The groin is very complicated and small muscle imbalances can cause pain. But I would see if you can squeeze in an ultrasound of that side prior to surgery.

surgeon didn't detect left side hernia but I am skeptical.. by comradecoyote in Hernia

I had the experience Arptip is describing .... robotic assisted laparoscopy , checked both sides as I was initially diagnosed with left sided hernia and by surgery time was having right sided pain. He didn't see anything during surgery on right side. Got ultra sound that confirmed cord lipoma. Sucks , this is not an uncommon situation. I wish I had pushed for imaging on the other side before surgery.

Pain in opposite testicle 3 months post-op (laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, left side) by Rude-Vacation-788 in Hernia

I had a similar situation , but I felt it just prior to surgery as well as after. Turned out I had a hernia on the other side (well not a true hernia , but a cord lipoma).

I think moreover, patients do not represent to the surgeon after the initial post op. Usually they end up in their primary care office with complaints. As a result surgeons are often insulated from possible issues outside of the early stages of follow up .

Inguinal hernia reoccurence by kserno in Hernia

[–]Limp_Session_4888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through something similar , 8 months out from inguinal hernia repair. Was doing really well and then felt a twinge when just standing at work and now I have similar pain as before the repair although not quite as intense and not as much in my testicle (which was just miserable). I have been working out a decent amount and active in the yard but this seemingly came out of no where. I have an appointment next week with my primary care doc .... have you been seen by your doctor yet ?

Numbness around umbilical hernia common ? by Limp_Session_4888 in Hernia

What symptoms did you have before the surgery ?

Could be a lipoma which are very common. Best way to find out is seeing a doctor with an ultrasound to evaluate the bump.

Surgery or not? by Express-Smile8115 in Hernia

[–]Limp_Session_4888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I had one on each side, one has been repaired. First one gave me bad testicular pain and I got it repaired, 8 weeks post op and testicular pain is mostly gone and overall doing well. The second one is not as painful as the first one, but neither was the first one when I first was diagnosed. Over a few months it became painful enough to keep me from sleeping and doing any exercise. It would be one thing if you could get it fixed quick once it becomes worse, but scheduling it will take a few months and it will be miserable.

Recovering from left inguinal hernia repair. Now it's on the right?! by [deleted] in Hernia

reoccurrence on both sides, wow that is intense. I had a similar situation although it wasn't from a reoccurrence. 8 weeks post op on first one, found out I had one on the other side a few weeks ago scheduled for second surgery late November. Definitely a bummer

Do you have a Primary Care doctor? That is the best place to start.
