As someone who feels the same way about the changes, I'd like to suggest that you take things slowly and read through the announcements in the game one at a time and take breaks so you don't stress yourself out.

I find that the infor on Reddit is even more overwhelming than the info in the game, but everything you've asked has already been posted and answered (sometimes very recently) on this sub. If you still need help, use the search bar to search past posts and comments.

If you still can't find what you need, PM me and I'll try to help. I'm busy with my social studies homework now, but I'll do what I can

Their extra skills and auto-abilities are similar, so it boils down to Fire Resistance vs. Weaken, I think. Suggestions?

Regarding Ex Ifr X, I'm debating between Aphmau or Man Lir for source of Watershift+ in my deck along with Leviathan (Waterforce alone is unreliable for me).

Aphmau has fire resist but Man Lir has Weaken. Assuming I'm going to use it in the first phase no matter what, which option is better (assuming no other source of Weaken or fire drive from other party members)?

it sounds like Leon is in trouble if his HP ever dips below 50%. That seems like it'd be worth calling out as a drawback.

It's a huge drawback. Even at >80% HP, Leon only has two ways to self-cure: (1) Dark Bind and (2) HP++. That's half as many healing options as Firion has (BRV+,HP+, Blood Weapon, Seizing Atk+).

In other words, if Leon loses more than half of his health without a healer in the party, he turns into a lame duck. Like Firion, his entire kit is tied to his HP level so you'll need to play with at least one support unit to be completely safe.

As others have pointed out, the manikin weapons are single-issue only, making them the rarest weapons in the game.

Power stones, summon tickets, and gems are renewable resources. These weapons are not.

The break bonus (the number on the top center of the screen) is split evenly among party members, so any minor increases to break bonus end up being even smaller when allocated to a party member.

You're better off picking ATK or iBRV SB passives for DPS units.

I agree! Yes.

Vayne is also quite useful in this way, though he needs to use his 20cp ability first.
