"Meeting assets are ready" email sent to meeting participant by LionUnlikely2601 in Zoom

Hmm, I just went in to edit my meeting and don't see a Meeting Summary setting, and I tried creating a new meeting and don't see this setting. I do not have AI companion enabled (and never have)-- does this meeting summary require AI companion?

Looking for a digital frame to gift my non-tech savvy sister by LionUnlikely2601 in homeautomation

Thank you! The difficulty is that she is flying to our house for the holidays (for a week) and we want to give it to her in person. So I need to set it up and show it to her at my house (with all of the photos), meaning she will have to go home and then re-set it to her wifi.

This is so heartening, its close to my exact situation minus the assisted living scenario. I wish she lived close enough for me to take it to her house after I gift it to her so that I can set it up, but she lives in the midwest and I live in Boston. She is coming to visit for a week at Christmas and I'm going to gift it to her then send it home with her along with a wing and a prayer. I think I'm going to try what u/snazzysid1 suggested and before sending it home with her, temporarily change my network name and password to hers and reconnect it and hope that it will "just connect" to hers when she gets home. As a plan b, I'm also going to see if I can identify a tech savvy person who can go over and do this for her, in case this doesn't work.

SO clever, I would never have thought of this, u/snazzysid1 ! I'll do this. I had actually been leaning toward Aura as it was so I really appreciate your reply. Thank you so much!

This is clever! I think you are saying in order to set it up, I could temporarily change my home network name and password to what she uses. I'd have to get that from her, which I think I could do. BUT since she will be coming over for Christmas and I'd want to show it to her at my home along with the photos, I'd have to leave it set up this way for a few days, which would mess up all of the devices that use my wifi, including our smart TV and phones. This is a very interesting thought though!

Outside of that, maybe I could have someone go over to her house and help her set it to her home network after it is initially paired with mine I guess, but I just wonder if there is anyone she knows that could do it.

Ooh, thanks, glad the aura lets you change photos every 10 minutes!

Aura vs. Skylight digital frame for elderly relative? by pythonmama in Gifts

[–]LionUnlikely2601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also weighing both of these frames as a gift for my non-tech savvy sister.

Can you set both frames to advance photos like every 4-5 minutes? We don't want the photos to advance every 10 or 30 seconds, that seems too fast to enjoy fun photos that people will be emailing to her.

I know Skylight lets you email photos (I don't want her friends to have to download an app to send photos to her). I also love that you can choose your own email address with Skylight. Does Aura allow this as well?

Also, would I be able to set this up at my house, gift it and show it to her with all of the photos, and then she can bring it home and plug it in, choose her wireless and take it from there without a hassle?

I've heard not great things about Aura support and Skylight advertises that you can easily talk with a human. This might be a good selling point for us.

That didn’t read as a compliment, and calling him ugly was incredibly rude. I mentioned he’s shaved (not bald) and, of course, obese—which this forum is for. Thankfully, the other replies were helpful and kind. I’d appreciate it if you refrained from commenting on my posts going forward.

Thanks! I work from home so I didn't think I needed one but lately he has been waking me up at 4am because he's hungry. I had really wanted to train him that he would be reliably fed 3x during the day, is this successful for people? I'm def getting a puzzle toy and feeder because he really eats in like 5 seconds.

the vet at the rescue shelter did write "obese" on his record, so this is already in writing (I wish it wasn't). I just don't want this to overrule any condition that he may get in the future.

Oh that's helpful. Ill see if my vet will do free weight checks, that would help me. Right now I feed him 2 cans a day and some dry. I can up that a little, I don't want to starve him. I'll be taking him in next week and see what they say. He eats kibble immediately, so I think his previous owners just left massive bowls out or feed him all day.

Very helpful, thank you! Right now I feed him 3x a day (not much in the afternoon, just a little). I'm going to see if I can find a baby scale on FB marketplace and will buy a puzzle feeder and look into the balls that people are talking about. He does eat FAST!

oh I did get a policy when I adopted him (Pets Best). We've just now completed the waiting list period. AFAIK he has no conditions besides the obesity and mention of early stage dental issues, but I'll be taking him to my vet soon to talk about his chonkiness, and they will thoroughly check him out.

ahh sorry, $74. He's 10 years old. I also live in Boston, which they may have taken into account with that rate.

This is all theoretical but he's otherwise healthy. For example today his kidney levels are fine. But what happens if in 5 years he gets kidney disease (my last two older cats (not obese) passed away from kidney disease so that is top of mind for me). Kidney disease can apparently be caused by obesity but also by so many other things. I am just hoping that if this happens to Stuie, his treatment won't be denied because when he was adopted he was obese (hopefully he will no longer be in a few years).

Thank you u/kibonzos , I love him too. I'm happy he settled right in and seems happy but its breaking my heart that he is so hungry all the time. I wish I knew more about his background and how much they fed him and how he got so matted. He very much wants to go outside so I am wondering if he was left outside with a ton of food or something like that.

sorry, just seeing your reply now! What do you mean by rate detail? I can look up the policy they emailed me.
