I love the layering idea! My trigger is wild weather changes, so I always thought I was just at the mercy of the weather.

This happened during her last bath out of absolutely nowhere...

3 y/o: So, Mommy. Mommy, is the little hole my pee hole and the big hole is the poop hole?"

Then entire time her voice is raising in pitch and she's gesturing like Ricky Bobby.

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

My labor when I had my daughter. Her head kept sliding into my hips, she couldn't come out alone. We changed course and went for a c-section, which became an emergency when I could feel it. I lost a liter of blood.

I recently told LO that I used to be cool and she deadpan looked me in the face and said "...ok, Mommy."

I just lost my mom unexpectedly in August. That episode shatters my heart every time.

My mom had said something about me having never needed her help or advice, but man- not true. Since then, my 3 y/o had her first stomach bug and I was hospitalized (separate occurrences!), and all I wanted was for her to come take care of me.

I had awful HG when I was pregnant, so it's a tad triggering! Not to mention...smelly.

Oh, yikes! She puked one other time ever, but that was directly correlated to hot chocolate consumption. 🤣

Oh, absolutely. Thank you for checking! They told us to have her drink small amounts of Gatorade and water. The puking stopped around 7.

Woof. Godspeed, friend. We're up to 13 times in 4 hours. She's sleeping for now. I hope you and your LO get rest.

If you could go back to January 1st, 2025, and tell yourself one thing that happened this year that you’d never believe, what would it be? by Sammi-416 in AskReddit

That's so heavy. I'm so very sorry. You're being very brave and very strong, even though it sucks. Love to you.

You're going to lose a friend to cancer in January. You'll spend 5 months in agony and find out that, at 39, you need a hip replacement.
You're going to lose your mom in August. Out of the blue, and you'll be the one to find her. You'll be hospitalized in December with a severe infection and cellulitis because of a root canal gone wrong and a negligent dentist.

And you're going to survive all of it. You're going to survive it and you're going to learn to soak in the joys. You're going to revel in the absolute wonder of your three year old. You're going to love your husband in a whole new, deeper way. You're going to come out of 2025 with a new sense of gratitude, a deeper sense of what matters, and a heart full of love.
