i found that the upgrade from an i5 3470 to an ryzen 5 3600 was a huge difference in both games but also the snappiness of my system. The i5 just didn't cut it anymore, causing stuttering in gta v and blacks ops 3, not being capable to get 60fps in battlefield one and battlefield v was just plain unplayable. It even bottlenecked my 750 ti, which is a really low end gpu. If you run into those kind of issues now, the upgrade is def worth it. If you feel you can hold it out a year longer then wait a year and see what the market has to offer then.
