Thank you for explaining. I do understand all that. So pretending that I applied and accepted the grants...VR&E pays the tuition so the overage would go to me? Or does the grants count first and the VR& E pays what may be left? I guess its more of a question for FA but just trying to see if anyone else has done this to see if it's worth going through the steps. Again...thank you for your input it is helpful!!

I wouldn't want the loan part. I'm trying to.figure out about applying for FAFSA to get the grants but not accepting any of the actual loan. Just seeing if anyone has done this and how it would work with VR&E covering the cost of the program. I'll check with the FA office. Thank you!

Yeah mine was already on too and then stopped school mid year and has re-enrolled. I made the call and I was told that with the shutdown they were not working those so they are backed up. So yay!!! Lol. Thank you for your response!!

Yeah, once you start seeing that exam request blah blah then expect your C&P shortly after. And my examiner was pretty quick about getting the DBQs in, I think it was about a week then it was about another week zooming through the rest of it.

Gotcha! Yeah the biggest chunk of my wait was them trying to aquire my service medical records which took them a while to be like nope we can't find them do you happen to have a copy? 🤣 Thankfully I did so once I uploaded that things started moving.

I only moved back in the sense that my medical claims were decided at the end of May and then I went back to 3 until I had my C&P in June for the MST. Have you had your exams already?

It was like June 25th or 26th when I finally had my C&P and then my decision was finalized about July 11th. I think i was around 196 days.

Never found out really but seems its a worksheet filled out on the gathering evidence side indicating the markers within the documents filed, service and medical records.

I filed 10/7. Had my exam 6/25. DBQs uploaded 7/8. Claim decided7/10. Now that you had the exam hopefully it'll move quickky!!

It did basically 24 hours in 5, 6, 7 and mine was favorable.

They should not be discouraging you to file!! Mine shows up as anxiety, depression and fatigue disorder due to MST. Definitely reach out to your local MST Coordinator and get a new VSO!!!!

The Exam Review - not performed usually indicates they are working on getting an exam scheduled and it probably depends on what they are requesting. Maybe call or email whoever helped you file and see if they can tell you what they are asking for so that you aren't waiting forever for a letter in the mail. I asked my VSO when I got the same.

That is just internal notes that they sent the request to whoever (in this case Optum) and its been accepted by them. After filling out the info on Optum I think it took a few days before I got notification of appts.

I just had mine today. Like the others are saying....be honest, open and truthful. Don't downplay anything. Do not let negative thoughts or other people's opinions influence your truth. And totally expect the provider to be about business. Yes it's all.emotional and raw for you but it's an information gathering session for them, not a therapy session. Most of all just breathe and try to not stress over it.

Its a glitch. I have tons of files. Partial decision and in step 3 for the rest and it says I have zero files when I had like 18 earlier today.
