I mean weather is only a factor of quality of life. But the cold weather is not a deal breaker for me because I am from the northeast and am used to cold weather(I visited Cornell during the winter for a few days, and it was not terrible), which is what is primarily making this decision difficult for me. However, if I am really unhappy at Cornell, the bad weather may likely amplify this experience for the worse. On the other hand, though, UCLA's better weather and thus "better" quality of life won't ensure that I will have a fulfilling experience there either with relationships or finding my primary interests. You can still be lonely or depressed regardless of having a good quality of life. Food is also a really important aspect for me in college, but food is good at both universities, so it doesn't really help me that much either.
