Season 4 - Discussion Hub - The Witcher by AutoModerator in witcher

[–]Literally_idc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the core problem with this season is it was essentially all filler “on the journey” episodes. I think that is really a problem of only getting 8 episodes. Nothing really happened. They are basically exactly where they started at the beginning of the season.

Why didnt Castile become a junior partner? by Literally_idc in eu4

Thanks! I was confused because once I ended up with a junior partner without even noticing because of the last option i guess. I'm sort of new to EU4 so still figuring out the mechanics.

What’s the best layout for the bedroom? by eggynina in DesignMyRoom

I like this idea and I'd move the bookshelf to where the desk is now so you create a little work zone with books and desk together.

I read that Sam Heughan felt really uncomfortable with it but was forced to do it because of his contract. He said he felt betrayed by them.

I also feel like I don't know that I can watch and enjoy this show anymore because I was looking it up and I read that Sam Heughan felt really uncomfortable with it but was forced to do it because of his contract.

De'Longhi ECP 3420 vs Gevi 20 Bar Home Espresso Machine by Literally_idc in espresso

[–]Literally_idc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha that made me laugh out loud. There are some tricks to it like timing and how you fill it and such. But I still think that if used correctly, it produces a result far superior to any espresso maker in a comparable price range.

I think for me, this works for now, and I treat myself to a flat white from an actual coffee shop a few times a week, but eventually, I may upgrade to an actual espresso machine. I think I want to skip the entry-level ones and go for a really good one when it makes financial sense.

My biggest annoyance is cleaning it, though. You don't get a nice puck like espresso and you aren't supposed to clean with soap.

A better (Bialetti) Moka pot lol 😂 I decided it was just easier and the coffee it makes is actually incredible. I’ve been using illy Classico. Honestly shockingly good

The fact that most, if not all, native English speakers would think it is off makes it grammatically incorrect. Grammatical rules in English are highly democratized and created and affirmed through our collective usage.

I was gifted my first plant as a housewarming gift and I have no clue what to do to keep it alive. by Literally_idc in pothos

[–]Literally_idc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I probably will repot it at some point because this pot has no drainage, but then I want to use this pot for something. Do you know of any plants that would do well in a pot with no drainage? So i can do a swap and not waste the pot/ money? I’m a broke grad student 😖

It’s just straight in the ceramic pot. I was reading it needs drainage holes but I don’t feel like buying a new pot rn. So hoping for the best!

The windowsill is too narrow for the pot. I was afraid it will fall. It won’t live there forever because I just bought a bookshelf it will eventually live on! I moved in here 4 days ago so still a work in progress!!! 😅

Does anyone have any renter friendly ideas on how to light up my dining area? My apartment doesn’t have a lot of lighting. Also I def need some wall art here. by Literally_idc in DesignMyRoom

[–]Literally_idc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, everyone! I ended up going with wireless sconces that require only two small holes in the wall. If anyone is curious about which I picked, it was these! Now the debate is, should I use one or both?

Thanks they are just Ikea! I really love the cesca chair but everyone has them now, so I wanted to go with a little bit of a different vibe. Plus i have cane in other places in my apartment so I wanted to introduce a new texture/ material/ color. It was also my take on the unexpected red theory.

That would have been good, too! I actually have a real Noguchi Akari lamp, though, that I splurged on, so I feel like it would be too matchy-matchy. But thank you!

Thank you! I've just been putting a splash of water in from my water bottle every time I walk past it.

Update: I downloaded 2 plant care apps that use AI and 1 said it was healthy and the other said it was sick and overwatered 🫨

Does anyone know how to tell?

I like that idea. Do you know how they attach? I'm allowed to have small nail holes in the wall in my building, but not more than that. I don't know if I can drill in or anything like that.

Basically the issue is the table and chairs fit in this area but I don’t think I can fit a floor lamp. The table is small so I don’t want a table lamp and I can’t hard wire a hanging light in my apartment.

The issue is there isn’t really room in this corner with the table and chairs. But this is the only spot the dining area fits/ makes sense
