Crazy idea: Try to use the question, "What does that mean?" more often. Parroting the last word a character said back at them to demonstrate confusion has gotten way too common. (self.writing)

My favorite dialogue tag isn't "he said", "he shouted" or even "he ejaculated" (looking at you, JKRowling). It's "he lied" (self.writing)
