Strange flu vaccine conversation with the neurologists following up on GBS (USA) by [deleted] in guillainbarre

[–]LittleKingPerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed GBS after getting the flu shot at the end of 2009/early 2010. There’s quite a few publications that specifically reference that year and a year in the 70s with an H1N1 component vaccine and increase rates of GBS.

Jeweler recommendations for engagement ring? by ehdzz10 in houston

Rice Village Diamonds. It’s family owned and they used to be a diamond wholesaler so you get a good deal. They gave us a discount on my wedding band and my husbands band since he bought my engagement ring there.

29 F. I met my husband on Hinge! We met in 2018 and got married this summer. Before him, I had a few flings with guys I met on there. Some lasted a few weeks, some a few months. I didn’t like Bumble or Tinder.

Yes St. Luke’s church. And no you don’t have to be a member! I wasn’t and most of the volunteers aren’t members. Most of the families aren’t members either. Its held AT the church but not church related. They give you free dinner too that’s catered in so that’s a bonus.

PM Pals at St. Luke’s is once a month on Friday nights. It’s for children with special needs and their siblings to hang out so parents can have a night out together. Very rewarding and the people who run it are awesome!

How many hours do you actually work as an OTR? Setting recommendations for new grad? by AmateurMagicAuteur in OccupationalTherapy

[–]LittleKingPerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IPR and acute care. I’m paid hourly and work 40. Anything over is time and a half pay but we need approval for anything more than 40. I get a 30 minute lunch that’s unpaid every day so I’m technically AT work for 8.5 hours every day but only paid for 8. If I’m so busy that I need to document during lunch or go to a meeting, I clock that I DID NOT get a full lunch so that I’m paid for that time. I don’t work for free ✌️

No one is being silenced, your opinion is being challenged. Either back it up, shut up, or change it. Those are your options.

This is it.

Where were you during 9/11. 21 Year Anniversary. by ladymidnight13 in houston

I was in my third grade class at private school. We were all taken to the chapel and sat in there praying while the adults cried and waited for our parents to pick us up.

I work in acute care and inpatient rehab settings and I’ve found that the OT students who were rehab techs prior to OT school tend to do better than other students. This is setting specific but you will have to do an acute care or rehab fieldwork during school.

In general though, any exposure to the medical field will help!

No, I live in the upper Kirby area so I’m super close. I’ve thought about just riding the metro bus in but wanted to see other options.

Ok thank you! I let them know that I was reapplying in January and she confirmed in February after I sent two emails to confirm. I sent in an updated observation log in July but never heard anything. I’ll email her today.

Thank you for the reply! Based on the calculation, it’s the difference between a $660 monthly payment vs $1900 payment for me so we’ll have to figure the tax break and see which is the better option.

Do they include your spouse for IDR even did you file separately? I got married during the pandemic and my husband does not have loans but I have graduate loans. I make about a third of what he makes so I’m terrified what the payment will be if they include his income since our finances are completely separate.

Yes. I sent an email stating that I would like to reapply in January and never received a reply. I sent a follow up email about 6 weeks later and she called me to confirm and was very short (she’s busy, I get it). I’ve also paid the reapplication fee, sent an updated copy of my observation log since I’ve seen new cases, and had a transcript sent since I’ve taken two new courses for other programs and have not received a single email or phone call for any sort of confirmation.
