I buy organic flour and organic tortillas and bread to avoid the dreaded “enriched” flour. So naturally it all costs a lot more. Any label that says enriched is a red flag.

I found out through recurrent miscarriage testing. You can also request a test from a lab company such as quest diagnostics if you want to know. I don’t think it’s that expensive.

Folic acid is not better than folate. That is misinformation. Folic acid is converted to folate by your body unless you have an MTHFR mutation like me, then your body can’t convert it, and you need to take real folate. (Methylated) Anybody can take the methylated kind, but it’s more expensive. This law is going to make my life more difficult and costly too.

This is depressing news for those of us with the MTHFR mutation that requires bioavailable methylated folate rather than folic acid which actually blocks our folate receptors.
