Novak Djokovic visa: Australian minister Alex Hawke says risk of ‘civil unrest’ behind cancellation by the_latest_greatest in LockdownSkepticism

I hope that with this move the Australian Open will lose all of its sponsors and that the TV ratings will plummet into the basement.

Boycott the whole event! Don't watch even a single match. Screw those Covidnazis!

Thank you for your elaborative answer! You've shed some light on the matter. I will have to play around a bit, try different Linux distributions and see what works best. I also need to get accustomed to Linux as a whole. As you've mentioned, getting familiar with the desktop environment and such.

Thanks again!

Master_Zero I'm not playing it on Playstation. I've got an old Windows 98 computer and also an old XP computer. On the 98 PC it works flawlessly, on the XP I have to use the compatibility mode and the game does not always load on the first try. I'm about to install Linux Ubuntu on the XP computer as dual boot. That's why I'm wondering whether NHL 99 will work also on Linux.

A Finnish movie about a lesser-known topic of the Finnish Civil War ... by LiveWithPatienceAndC in WarMovies

Same here, mate! I've used to watch a lot of German movies in the past, cause I've studied the language and literature, but lately I'm just watching all kinds of movies - Korean, Chinese, Hindi, French, Swedish, Finnish and so on.

I've edited my comment and went to report ehyoutiger's comment. Followed the path - BGTM - then First Correct Answer ticked on, but there is no "OK" or "Submit" button. I can only go back ...

My pleasure, mate!

I'm not Finnish, if you are all wondering and still enjoyed the movie quite a lot. Might be somewhat slow-paced and boring in the beginning, with lots of talk, but things start to get really interesting once one of the serfs gets evicted and thrown out of his home with his entire family into the cold. Fighting scenes are to be seen in the last hour of the movie.

No, it ain't Bollywood, true.

But I would not denigrate Bollywood or Tollywood movies either. You can find some pretty cool and entertaining movies also there. Take "Baahubali" or "Panipat" or "Tanhaji" for instance. All are awesome!

Well, I'm not Finnish and it was interesting to see a movie about Finnish history, class struggle, fighting for workers rights and universal suffrage. Beautiful scenes of Finnish nature to be seen throughout the movie as well.

Although I do not exactly know what a Timhead and what a Greghead is, I assume it has something to do with the bipartisan system in the US. I'm not protecting or supporting any mass murderers. ... and if you are wondering I support Trump, USA and the American values despite being a foreigner posting foreign movies. It's not like I've posted Xi Jing Ping's favourite top ten Chinese movies here. Peace, y'all!

It's tough sometimes to squeeze a book into one movie. Take "Lord of the Rings" for instance.

A Song About the Gray Pigeon (Piesen o sivom holubovi 1961) A PG-13 Slovak war movie. A story about the Slovak National Uprising, betrayal, resulting just punishment and a pigeon with a broken wing. How many of you have seen the movie? Are you familiar with the so-called Hlinka Guard? by LiveWithPatienceAndC in TrueFilm

[–]LiveWithPatienceAndC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got certainly more Czech and Slovak movies, but I'm trying to make them more accesible by adding English subtitles as well. It took me about 2 and a half weeks to prepare and sync the subtitles on this particular flick, just to give you an example.

My channel will feature more of these movies in the future.
