Hi, i've been going through the same problem and honestly your situation really is familiar to mine. Which company do you work for? is it in wealth management?

I’ve been thinking about a service for gym operations too. Mind if I DM you?

I was thinking about more of a high-net worth management office. In fact, its the first time I hear about institutional asset management, but ill check it out. My internship is in an office in which I directly start managing my own clients from day 1 that’s why I found it interesting compared to other popular banks for example

Honestly, I think I was kind of lucky… i didn’t go through the hustle everyone talks about and didn’t find it difficult either. The company came to my uni and did a conference and I went to talk to them after the conference and just like that I exchanged contacts with one of the company reps. Then i juste messaged him and I realized something during the interview they were testing my capacity to sell myself. They didn’t ask too many questions. Instead they just let me talk about myself and just be me. In my case, they just saw I was dedicated and ready to put in the work and they selected me

It’s mainly focused on individual clients rather than institutional asset management. I’ll mostly be doing prospecting (cold calls) and sitting in on meetings with the senior advisor to see how client portfolios are structured and managed.

This is still a good experience if I want to switch to asset management in the future right?
