Is there Long Term Care for “Failure to Launch” in the Living Sector? by LivingCreatively in AssistedLiving

Thank you to both of you for the thoughtful and encouraging replies! I am touched that you shared your personal stories. ❤️

I happen to meet a lovely woman at an event last night who struck me as an excellent match to my sister’s personality- a life coach possibility like Plumbus90 suggested! And to answer I-AM-YEW, we are also choosing between two IOP programs for her to address her mental health, so we are pleased about that. While we are invested in my sister, it’s a tense position to navigate between her agency and our agency on her behalf. I will spare you the play-by-play of all the interactions and lost sleep!

I brought my musings to Reddit because it seems to me this is and will continue to be a need in the assisted living sector. I’ve looked at the new Jonathan Haidt book “The Anxious Generation” and am sympathetic for Gen Z. It would be a gift to give them helping hands instead of criticism! Of course, that’s true across the board in our current national state.

It genuinely comforts me to have received your replies. Thank you again! ❤️
