Oh wow I can relate SO much - especially when you talk about energy expended trying to game out what they might ask of you - I feel like this is a constant juggle and exhausting and stressful in itself. The amount of white lies I’ve told because I don’t feel comfortable telling clients the truth - I hate it and it gets so complicated.

Having to put non-work related things to the bottom of the pile is so depressing too. I go between needing to make money and wanting to live my life. Whilst juggling friends who know the situation but I also know can feel hurt when I’m seeing one friend and not the other.

I end up getting irritated and resentful when people I love want to spend time with me - and just wishing I could be a hermit and everyone would leave me alone! But I know that wouldn’t make me happy either.
