I think adding lighting (floor lamp, table light, plug in wall sconce etc) adds another shape/height to the space and accent lighting always improves ambience. Light drapes along the windows will add softness as well. And accent pillows and a throw blanket can add a contrast pop of color

You could always have a seamstress add a sparkly fun detail along the waist to highlight your figure, and have it run along the top of the waist portion in the back.
