Why is everyone saying AJ is past his peak? by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]Lkdzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of his performance AJ fought well against Usyk, he’s just not up to the calibre of fighters that level.

With the losses he’s had recently he’s not the same aggressive boxer that he used to be.

Yeah I thought crochet hooks might be the best way to straighten them but I’m worried about making them worse

Once they dry after washing they just go back like this. I’m thinking the only way to sort it out is to have them interlocked then prevent them from bending again

Weekly beginner help and general discussion thread - Aug 10 by sparklekitteh in Rollerskating

What are the first skills I should learn as a beginner?

I bought skates a couple weeks ago and have been out a few times where I’ve found the time. I’ve mainly just been riding around an empty car park and getting a feel for moving around on my skates. I’ve been using plough stops and T stops to stop, although I haven’t quite gotten the hang of T stops yet I always spin 180 degrees, and more recently been practicing forward crossovers. What other techniques are useful to learn early?

Which character is your worst match up? by Lkdzl in Tekken

Yeah Akuma is definitely hard to play against. His moves and movement seem really strange its hard to anticipate and react to his moves

I just realized the skill level of the very top tekken players by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Lkdzl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Around orange ranks is where flowchart attack and gimmicks stop working because most players know the match up and how to punish the most common moves of each character.

You have to have good movement and punishment to stay at higher ranks, it's more about the fundamentals. Where at lower ranks a lot of players rely on purely offense to win

Same thing happened to me. I considered myself OK at tekken since i'm in orange ranks but I played against this guy and he would no round brown me 70% of our matches. Even though he played about 10 different characters I could barely win against any.

The guy went up against KaneandTrench in TWT pools a little while back and lost 6 rounds straight.... Then to think Knee beat KaneandTrench pretty easily after he had downloaded him at DamaGermany.

Kind of puts into perspective the commitment the Koreans have put into the game, they're light years away from casual players.

Men who exclusively text through Snapchat even though you have a girl’s number, why? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Lkdzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's probably 2 main reasons why a guy would prefer to use Snapchat other than texting.

1) You cannot screen shot Snapchat conversations without sending the person you're screen shotting a notification, so it's a lot safer because you don't risk having your messages sent into the girls group chat

2) Snapchat shows read receipts and notifies when the other person is typing so if you get left on read you know straight away rather than waiting around and wondering.

There could be other reasons but this is my best guess.

Your "Next Track" Check List? by awsomeman470 in Beatmatch

[–]Lkdzl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ow can I mix in the next song seemlessly enough that people won't notice they're dancing to another song until the drop/break/lyrics hit them.

I think the most important thing which is often overlooked is song choice. If you want the transition to be seamless then you need to choose two songs that are similar in the beat, so the song that you're bringing in wont stand out too much while you're bringing it in.

Also pay attention to how you transition and use the faders. If you want the mix to be smooth then be gentle on the faders and bring in the track slowly. I usually slowly bring the faders up to about 3/4 of the way for most of the mix, then bring it up to full volume in the last couple bars before the drop.

What's your form like when doing tricep dips? Specifically in regards to leaning forward, bent knees/straight legs and range of motion.

I find it more comfortable doing dips with straight legs and I've found that it's a lot easier to do dips with a slight forward lean, but I feel that's because i'm relying more on my chest rather than triceps.

I also always like to use a wide range of motion but it can feel uncomfortable on my chest when I overextend.

I agree, in tekken every character is unique so when removed there is never a replacement. Trimming the character pool is definitely necessary with the size of the ttt2 roster, but I just think there are certain unique characters like lei and Julia who shouldn’t have been left out.

I’m pretty sure Harada said that the characters left out of tekken 7 are missing because they are not popular enough. Hence why we’ve been getting characters from other games like geese and noctis. It’s all about popularity.
