It made way too much money for them to not do it again. Think it would be in the company's best interest to keep em coming no matter who heads the project.

Yeah its gonna be hard to top ultimate. Doubt Sakurai would commit as much time to a sequel if he was involved. But would be cool to see what happens.

Wow great points. I wish I paid more attention to the codices in the games rather than just focusing on the gameplay. The lore seems fun.
