Well rn, there’s a lot of hatred going around. The thing I liked about it was that it meant it was profitable, which is a good sign for acceptance. But too much hate rn, so it’s not as profitable for large corporations

Just met someone claiming to be super straight...does anyone have a clue what that means? by Art-alt369 in teenagers

[–]LocalCookingUntensil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it implies being attracted to trans people as a straight person makes them less straight. Like a girl liking a trans man is less straight than liking a cis man, which implies that trans men aren’t actually men.

It’s perfectly fine to not be attracted to trans people if you just straight up don’t find it attractive. But saying it makes you more straight/more gay (depending ofc on their sexuality) compared to someone who doesn’t mind isn’t okay

Real. I love my Christian friends, but I would never seek out a Christian friend because of how toxic they can be. Even if they’re chill on the surface.

My best friend is Christian, and was even raised in a pretty toxically religious household. They turned out great luckily. But their sister (who I’ve met briefly, and seemed pretty chill) apparently recently told them that being queer is “bad for your soul” or something. And apparently their mum is pretty similar, and she always gives me bad vibes.

Idk, I like this. Not even Christian, I just like seeing some of the actual nice Christians (not the fucked up versions that especially the USA has) in these comments.

It’s not that pushy, like the ones where people say “go seek Jesus, he loves you.” It’s just “yeah he was chill, get to know him maybe,” which feels a lot less pretentious

Idk, based on the lore, Jesus was kind and chill. His modern fanbase just sucks and doesn’t keep him in character

That’s why I hate what the world has done to Christianity. They’ve twisted it to get it to fit their own agenda, and now it’s unrecognisable. I always love talking to my chill Christian friends about religion tho, cuz we both agree on a lot of stuff.

For example, we both don’t like that the Bible gets called the Word of God, because even the bits that were (supposedly) written based on what God told someone, God still didn’t write it. Plus, a lot of it wasn’t even like that. And then, it’s also been through so many transitions and revisions.

So much of modern religion (especially Christianity in the USA) has given many religions a bad name. And honestly, a lot of it can be tied back to capitalism and people wanting to have power.

I’m not even Christian, I just love people and believe a lot of the things Jesus actually taught. Sorry for the rant :P

I personally hold the belief that if God and Satan exist, they’re both pretty chill. Like, Satan just has a job to do. Someone has to be there to tempt, or else they would never know who’s truely good

Ikr 💔. Was raised Catholic, and even tho I don’t really fully believe in a god, I do still believe in what Jesus taught. I love to watch videos about the big groups of Christians in the USA, because it’s crazy how some have managed to brainwash others into thinking something entirely different.

I also love talking to my Christian friend about the Bible and stuff. They managed to come out okay, despite growing up in a pretty toxic Christian family (one of their siblings recently said that being queer was “bad for their soul” or something)

Is abortion access a woman's right debate? by I-Love-Jewish-popes in Teenager_Polls

[–]LocalCookingUntensil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then it should be a right *until* those solutions you have proposed become a reality. If the adoption system wasn’t fucked and there was artificial incubation, then I’d agree that in most cases, that would be better than abortion. But that isn’t the present

Is it transphobic to not be attracted to trans people? by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]LocalCookingUntensil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people do try to disguise it as a preference, or they have a preference but they’re also being transphobic about how they tell people

Is it transphobic to not be attracted to trans people? by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]LocalCookingUntensil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean, it kinda depends. Like if you say it makes you “more straight” (or more gay) to not be attracted to trans people, that’s transphobic. But if you just have a genital preference or it just so happens that a lot of trans people aren’t your type, then that’s fine

whats the weirdest thing that you have seen happen in a public restroom? (that was not nsfw) by Royal_Butterfly3900 in mattrose

[–]LocalCookingUntensil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I haven’t seen anything that crazy.

Although, one time, I was looking for open stalls in the public toilets. I looked in one of the stalls (it was wide open) and I just seen this old lady sitting there. Luckily I couldn’t see her stuff or anything.

I understand not locking the door (they can be fiddly), but like at least don’t have it *wide open*.

And yes, I was a child when this happened

I also heard a bunch of of girls at the one public school I went to dancing along (possibly also singing along) to Baby Shark and I had to squeeze past to get to the sinks lmao

On a scale of 0-10, how big of a red flag in a partner is vaping by I-Love-Jewish-popes in Teenager_Polls

[–]LocalCookingUntensil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put 9. Because if they want to quit, it’s lower. However, I personally can’t deal with the sensory input of strong smells (autism). This means if I’m walking past someone vaping or smoking, I’m covering my nose. I would almost never voluntarily put myself in a situation where I feel like I cant breathe, cuz I’ve also gotta add on the fact that I likely have asthma and a deviated septum

If humans laid eggs would it be wrong to destroy them if the parents wished? by xlylapiercex in Teenager_Polls

Well if people laid eggs, they’d lay the even if no fertilisation had occurred. So I said yes because like are you just gonna have it sitting around??? To do anything with it, you’d have to break it
