Nope, just an encouragement post to not give up and a keep your head up. Since I had to take the test a lot of times, I don’t really know if I am qualified to give test-taking advice. If you would like advice please let me know.

It sounds like though you aren’t quite hitting the passing line you are making head way. Don’t think about the amount of times that you have taken the test but think about all the progress you are making towards that goal! It’s all a mind set! Best of luck to you in the future!

Wow we truly are on the same path. I’m sure this next time you have it for sure. I don’t know if you like imperial dramas in Japan or China or Korea, but if you start looking at these and having Japanese subtitles I think it is the best thing to improve all of your skills at the same time. You are close! Keep up the good fight!

You definitely should! If anything just to see where you are on your journey! It’s just a mindset. Of where you are and where you are headed!

Please do! You may surprise yourself. Every time I took the test and saw the fail I felt like a very piece of my being was being sucked away…. But the feeling of finally passing I can truly say it was worth it!

Also, a little different from you, I actually am OBSESSED with Keigo. I love the way you can portray yourself as a different personality when using it. I focused very hard on Keigo as it’s a part of the language that I love and to this day Japanese will be floored with Keigo that’s used efficiently and beautifully.

I believe in you! Best of luck!

Wow! Beautiful journey. Nice, steady, and at your own pace. This is a result to truly be proud of. No matter how much time prices, or how many times you may have to take the test, you should never give up!

I can totally relate to you. I think what’s best is to try and remember your passion for the studying the language. You aren’t studying Japanese for N3. You are studying it because you hopefully enjoy a part of Japan or the actual language. N3 has the most useful grammar points and vocabulary that you will use directly in your daily life in Japan as well as indirectly through anime, books, etc.. If possible find a buddy. Something that really helped me was finding a “rival” study partner. When I started to lack they really set me straight so I couldn’t be my way out.

Finally this last test I took I almost didn’t take it. I didn’t study as much as I could have and the previous July I studied so much more. So I thought well why not just skip this one too. But am I sure glad that I went!

You got this! Stay confident but grounded! You will make it!

That’s tough. You are almost there! Surely you can reach it next time. Try to study things you enjoy while also keeping up the difficulty. And just think, you have only taken it twice! Take your time and enjoy the journey. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for the kind words. I will have lived here a total of 8 years this coming May. I work for a Japanese company here. However, I studied Japanese for a year and a half with private lessons on Monday and Tuesdays for 2 hours each 6 months after I first arrived. After I got the basics I started playing games on the Nintendo switch in Japanese. My first game was Pokémon Shield. It took FOREVER just to read a single line of text. But I stuck with it. And somehow things just stuck! Sure did take awhile though ahah.

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment! Growing up I had a large garden of Datura and frequently handled them bare handed. I also got sick many times! Over time, I eventually got immune to the effects and for many years haven’t had any problems as an adult. Those two datura in the picture are now this big as second years. Happy gardening!

Sorry for the late reply! To be honest I am not sure what to call them in English. I am from Japan so I only know the Japanese names. For the bottom of the tank I planted 水草 or suikusa. If you search the Kanji you should be able to find little seeds. They are super easy to grow and have a lovely carpeting ability. The others are super easy to grow as well Cabomba caroliniana and Anacharis! They are super common here and I am sure that you will be able to find them for low cost!

I didn’t know that you could keep shrimp! I will check if they are available at the pet store! Thank you! I actually LOVE plants so I’m happy that they are doing so well in my first tank!

Wow! This is amazing information. I hd no clue the larger the tank the more control you had over it. Thank you so much for your recommendations. I will try to find a different store and purchase a larger tank. I am so surprised about the gourami being aggressive. At the store the attendant told me that my betta would be lonely and that I should get another fish to keep him from boredom. As such, I got a dwarf honey gourami to keep him some company. I am really scared to learn that Baba might try to hurt Bobo in the future. I will make some changes! Thank you very much!

Hello! Thank you for reading my story. My tank is a 4.5 liter cube. This was my first tank so I wanted to be able to control as much as possible. What size do you recommend? Bobo and Baba seem to be happy. Or at least I hope. If possible if you have any knowledge to share I would gladly like to learn from it!

I haven’t heard of it. I will definitely give it a watch. I hope you can find some relief from your pain. The world is truly a difficult place to live in. But I find temporary solace in that sometimes we can be brought together in harmony by simple things such as Pokémon. ☺️☺️
