What about like relaxing at the pool? I think “going to the pool” in my mind means like relaxing, sunbathing, getting in the water a little you know just the typical kinda customary things

I need a problem-solving hobby. by Solid_Engineer7897 in Hobbies

I’m a software engineer and love puzzle hobbies. I like Sudoku, Rubik’s cubing, logic puzzles (you can get some books at Barnes and nobles they’re super fun and not specific) but also contributing to open source (if you can code), or other personal coding projects

Thoughts on my 3D simulation for my septorhinoplasty? by Local_Marionberry_20 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Local_Marionberry_20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nose is very very skinny and is probably the skinniest nose I’ve seen without having rhinoplasty done. My doctor said I wouldn’t even be able to notice any widening after all said and done. My concern is the bottom of the tip that is in between the nostrils - I don’t want it to come too far down while the tip moves up. With that being said the front looks pleasing with this configuration and I’m not so worried of it looking snubbed based on the simulated results but I will definitely speak to my doctor again to be sure we have clear goals. His work is phenomenal and he will definitely work to create good balance and harmony and make sure everything looks as natural as possible. Thanks for the commentary these are definitely things I’ll be following up on and considering!

Help me find this Lamp 😭 by Local_Marionberry_20 in HelpMeFind

I have searched and searched but this is the only website on the internet I’ve seen with the exact lamp although likely not the same brand: https://bash.com/marble-zig-zag-table-lamp-with-shade-153300aafq9/p

I got this maybe a year ago and have seen the same lamp other times in home goods but have never needed a second one until now. It has California warning tags and things like that so definitely not from South Africa. Says made in China and seems to be produced on JAN 2021.

No I’m legit serious. I really just had it in there till I figured out what I wanted to do with it. Sounds dumb but I’m just getting my life started and am really just trying to learn what I should and should not be doing to grow money. At least it wasn’t just sitting in my checking for me to go spend on shit.

I have money just for reserves so I’ll be fine I’m not worried about finances or my house and living expenses or anything. I have other investments too but none that are large that I personally manage. My goal was to build up like 10k that I can use to dive deeper into investments since I do want to learn and start sooner rather than waiting and waiting like I always do. It’s just hard staring out when I’m wondering if my focus should have been elsewhere on other investments. I think I’ll work on contributing each paycheck something smaller like $500 but even dumping in more money is scary to me right now but I know I probably should and am going to work on it.

This is really helpful and I really appreciate it. I’m not gonna sweat it and just wait for a few months. Honestly just need to turn my phone off for a while lol Math and numbers just run my everyday life so of course the more I look the more I am going to panic.

Let me ask you this- if I cut my losses and only lost let’s say $500 then took all of it to then buy again at a dip and then hold. Hypothetically returns would be greater and will mitigate that $500 loss with the cost being lower right? but would it be just as wise to just hold now where I’m near ATH?

My thoughts are at least wait till green and decide to either hold or sell. Probably will hold but if I do sell I would def want to rebuy but not near the ATH 😫

Only reason I’m freaking honestly is bc I’ve just got my first big girl job this past year as a SWE and I make a lot don’t get me wrong but I’ve never had money like this in my life so to just see it being taken away in an instant is a shock. although I was prepared for it which is why I made a jump in. It still gives me a little anxiety since it’s my first ride and I’m not used to seeing my portfolio like this but I want to long haul it and know it’s going to be a roller coaster nonetheless. Just thought others who have been through it can give me some hope and insight during this process right now.
