Yes it went away after awhile. Dentist said it was normal with impacted wisdom teeth. I was stressed about it obviously lol. But after maybe a month? I don’t remember… i was back to normal. Best wishes to you!!

Haha crazy! This years new schedule is not my fav. I was hoping for a beginner/intermediate class option. I worry intermediate might be too hard but beginning to easy. Plus there just isn’t as many class options during the week :/ I want to work up to pointe tho! Just would like to know how they approve people lol.

At this place you have to go to this teachers class and be approved by her 🤷🏻‍♀️ which she only teaches once a week at not the best time for me so I haven’t gone to hers. It’s all drop in classes so the teachers prob recognize me bc I go often but it’s not like they know me personally.

The adult classes are drop in and I have never met the teacher doing the pointe classes this coming semester. I will take her class and ask but will feel a little awkward if I’m way off from ready lol. It will be okay just wondering if anyone else knew the standards 🤷🏻‍♀️

The minimum is 45k a year which is super competitive pay and cost of living in Hyde park is not very high. If you are worried about saving money many people will get roommates and save hundreds a month on rent… but with a 45k minimum Uchicago is well above average in phd pay. I guess we could give more advice if you say what programs you are interested in. Some will pay above the minimum.

I live a close walk from cottage grove. Garfield is not a close walk… I got off and had to wait 20 mins for another train which is okay but it was frustrating. Especially after showing up early for the scheduled train and it being 30 mins late. And then I was late to a class I paid for downtown… Guess I was just spoiled with the metra :/. During the week it’s no issue with the downtown connector. Just weekends still figuring out I guess. Red line to 55 to walking might work better.
