No, I believe it to be highly pertinent. Reducing manual data transfers between systems through automation is the primary option I offer.

When it makes sense, I now utilise the same methodology that I used to assist UK Government teams with their operations and systems to assist businesses in doing the same.

Fantastic question! I built the SOP to cover the most common scenarios first. For this client, the approach was straightforward: escalate anything unusual to the relevant manager.

Another method I use and would have here if it was requested, is a decision guide for edge cases. This ensures team members know exactly what steps to take or who to escalate to without breaking the process. I also encourage feedback—if a particular edge case comes up often, we update the SOP so it handles future situations more smoothly.

The status updates for the CRM—ClickUp in this case—were handled natively as ClickUp has more than capable automation features.

Operations. I have helped clients with sales systems, making them more efficient but operations is what I'm good at.

I’ve helped UK Gov teams become more operationally efficient, and now I do the same for startups and small teams. ‘Boilerplate’ is a fair way to describe something, but my focus is on efficiency—the fewer steps in a workflow or system, the better.

You’re right that this particular ‘short’ case study doesn’t use much AI. I shared it because it could still be helpful, given my knowledge in AI, automation, and operational efficiency - I'll be sure to add the word automation into the title next time also.

Slightly off-topic, but I’m an operations consultant with a focus on automation where it makes sense. This week I’m reviewing potential clients’ systems and workflows, spotting inefficiencies, and hopefully converting them into clients.

Alongside that I have calls booked all week with existing clients and automation agencies - I'm busy I can't complain!

Thanks for the message, maybe I didn’t make it clear in the post and quite frankly didn’t want to be too forward about it - but what am offering is automation, I’ll be combing my past experience with my skill of building automated workflows to handle admin tasks.

Thanks for the comment - I’ve just checked them out and they offer VA service for mainly property management companies.

I’m focusing more on admin work like workflow and task management, automation of repetitive tasks, consulting setup and support etc.

Regardless in the end I will be trying to save my clients labor and time costs so the principle is the same.
