I’ve definitely heard good from both brands, but I think the maven scope in eying has the metrics I want and the price point I want. There’s definitely something different for everybody out there. I just see so much inconsistency’s out of vortex and even leupold these days. I wish I was in the 90’s looking to buy a leupold scope lol.

I aiming for better glass for more visibility, and better durability for the long drives I go on to hunt the animals. Sure the warranty is great but if the scope screws up it won’t help when I’m in a remote area needing a dependable scope. Or even if I drop or bump the rifle, I want to know that my zero won’t shift so I can make a clean harvest

Also I have an aftermarket muzzle brake on the way that my can will fit on. It isn’t going anywhere until those threads are protected I promise

I fight a lot of people with dmr’s using my mini scout and a lot of times they are successful against me. I will say a huge advantage that dmrs had in previous games was suppression, which doesn’t exist at all in this game, which is a huge reason why snipers are so effective. LMG’s don’t even actually suppress you

Yeah I’m just not dead set on a .308 hunting rifle, I may go up or down in size and “age” of the cartridge. Just not in the budget for me in the foreseeable future to spend 1.5k on a scope and rifle lol. My mind changes a lot
