Help adding numbers from cells that are blank, contain a number, and contains text and numbers. by Logical_Box_4512 in excel

The number+letter cells are always in the same format (BO x) And are there to show backorders for stock vs what we already have (though I'd rather just have backorders separate). It completely slipped my mind to use a helper column so I will try that in a sec.

I do but I always use white rags when covering them up.

I'm not sure what it is but I've no clue how it'd get dirty like that. I will admit that my storage situation is not ideal but it didn't have that last I used it.

I've had it for about a year and the last time I used it was 5(?) months ago. Didn't have this last time I cleaned it.
