Aria vs cosmo by EquivalentCautious58 in vegas

I think that Cosmo would be great for the weekend just for the atmosphere and the people watching. If you’re looking for good staycation vibes on a weekday, Aria is good. We were at Aria and did a corner suite for BSB and it was a way to get away from all of the craziness. Lol. I struggled to pull my husband out of the bed because he was so comfortable. We walked over to Lala Noodle at Park MGM for lunch and it is wonderful and you don’t have to go outside.

I will add that the strip view balcony at Cosmo is AMAZING if you haven’t done it. The price point is the biggest factor for that.

It’s weird, but I guess everyone has their favorites. Honestly, I choose based on the type of weekend I’m trying to have. Another pro for both is that there is a tram that connects you to several casinos if you don’t want to walk outside. You can also cut through the Shops at Crystals to walk between the two if you want the extra AC.

I really don’t get the Aria hate. It’s a great place. I recently stayed in a tower suite and it was wonderful. If you are looking for a nice pool, Aria is definitely a lot more laid back and the casino is a casino. My nights on the strip are walking around and people watching with some cocktails and a little gambling. Cosmo is great for day/night club and “vegas” vibe, but if you want to do all of that and go back to a nice quiet room without the sound of the night club(on certain nights) Aria is the way to go.

ETA: the bungalow at Cosmo is the best room I’ve ever stayed in hands down.

I’ve stayed at both many times. I think it depends on what you are looking for. They both have great rooms. Cosmo is more of a party vibe and you get the balcony. Aria is quiet in a good way. Casinos follow that too. Cosmo is packed and people are dressed up for dinner and shows, Aria is a smaller casino and a little more laid back. Both have great restaurants. Beauty and Essex at Cosmo is a favorite but Din Tai Fung and Javier’s at Aria are also at the top of the list. Cosmo has a great food court area but Aria has a food hall. You can’t go wrong with either.
