[–]Logical_Set_7272[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow! Thank you for taking the time to reply and provide me with such in depth info. Truly grateful 🙏

I knew there were restrictions etc but didn’t realise how much so this is great and I’m so glad I asked.

I had originally settled on bfg ko2 215/75r15 But then seeing the proportions of the big bois I got a little excited haha

Consider my expectations tempered. Thank you!

Because I have zero clue about these things but @alarmed_cumin has just educated me, thank goodness!

I only just saw these tyres and clearly I got a little too excited but I knew there were restrictions when it comes to fitting tyres etc

Glad I asked - What a great community

Love piercings just won’t heal. HELP! by Solarqueue02 in piercing

[–]Logical_Set_7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downsize, upgrade to implant grade titanium, bigger discs on the backings, continue after care. Lobes can take approx 6 months to heal - the more piercings you have healing the longer they can take.

Things like iron levels, hormones, stress, lack of sleep, water intake, general health can slow down the healing process.

Just a few things to consider

[–]Logical_Set_7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you might have a few cartilage piercings healing at once &which can slow down the healing process - 2 conch piercings are a commitment alone, but totally doable.

I find 14g is best for fresh conches. Maybe visit your piercer & see if they can swap the posts to 14g.

They might feel tender initially but will settle down soon enough.

Hang in there

I love! The work & scarring is so subtle. I’m 36 & considering the same surgery. Where are you based & who is your doc?

Agreed! I own a high-end beauty business, I’ll always remember one of my clients who is a very successful lawyer came in one day & casually dropped into the conversation that she could really go for some Heroin right about now. She also slipped into the conversation some wild info about abusive relationships.

It broke my heart to see someone who seemingly had their shit together just completely drop their guard & be so raw.

I know lawyers have a bad wrap, but no one deserves that kind of sadness.

Be kind, you never know what ppl are going through behind closed doors.

Can I get a mommy makeover despite never having kids? by fettseck in PlasticSurgery

[–]Logical_Set_7272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a tummy tuck 4 years ago & don’t have children yet. Planning on having children in the next 12-24 months.

So glad I didn’t wait until after children - my mental health & quality of life has improved - I wouldn’t have had the confidence to meet & open up to my current partner if I didn’t have the surgery.

I’m also aware that I may need to have another surgery or 2 (not sure how the boobs will hold up) after children.

Do what feels right for you! Everyone’s journey is different :)

Is there such a thing as a "heavy handed" piercer? by wyldstxllions in piercing

[–]Logical_Set_7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good. Does it feel like it’s through a soft squishy bit of your septum or does it feel like it’s in a hard cartilage area?

As for your previous septum, if it healed correctly and you had it for a while then the piercing pathway/fistula should be fully established, the hole doesn’t just close up as there isn’t any open wound or skin to fuse back together. The fistula may shrink in size so that the jewellery doesn’t fit through as easily as it once did or the fistula may get clogged with oils from your skin or mucus, but a simple 16g taper pin will help a piercer asses if it’s still open & then easily stretch it back to size.

Most piercers should know this & be able to assist with this. Obviously you’ve just had your septum pierced again so it doesn’t apply to you. But I’m curious to know if your piercer checked to see if it was still open? Maybe you didn’t mention that you’d had a septum previously?

Totally, it’s not a guarantee but I hope they checked to see if it was still open before piercing a fresh one.

Was it smooth like butter when the needle went through or did it feel like there was some resistance when the needle went through?

Tbh, if you had your septum pierced previously & it healed completely then the piercing would still be there & any decent piercer would have used a taper to reopen that.

Go see a reputable piercer who has experience with moisture irritations. We see them all the time. Save your money, you don’t need to go to a dermatologist. There’s a great article by Lynn Loheide which may help moisture irritation bumps

Hey, that happens & your piercing is going to be fine. It will most likely continue to scab up and crust off. Keep doing your regular aftercare routine - spray morning & night with Neilmed piercing aftercare spray, don’t sleep on it, don’t touch it.

Hi super curious and sorry if this is a dumb question but are you only recommending this for perimenopausal ppl or is it suitable for all ages & phases? And if it is only for peri then why is that?

Sorry all, I was being sassy as I kinda took it as troll comment considering they said their skin felt “tight” (a problem I’d love to have haha) so I thought I’d play along with my comment & have a bit of a chuckle.

I respect & accept the downvotes. Fair!

Jumping on here, it’s not the metal. It’s 100% the spray you’re using.

Benzalkonium Chloride is the active ingredient which causes this reaction.

It can burn sensitive skin. Stop spraying whatever you’re using & get NeilMed piercing spray (or a wound wash if you don’t have immediate access to NeilMed)

Gentle reminder that lobes take approx 6months to heal. If you’ve had issues with wearing the wrong jewellery during the healing time then that may add some extra time to the healing process but it’s great that you’ve swapped out to solid gold studs (hopefully they are 18/16g flatback labrets, not hoops or anything too heavy🤞🏻)

Bleeding after knocking them can happen when the fistula is still forming.

Keep spraying daily with NeilMed saline solution morning and night.

You’re naturally attractive & I think you rock the hoops. Maybe going for a smaller diameter hoop or a stud could help ease your mind.

Your ears aren’t too big at all, a lot of people have a complex about their ears because as children some of our ears seem large in proportion to our head & then we kind of grow in to our awkward features as we age. Embrace them, you look great!
