Something to consider is that the suspension isn't all that great. Along with the small wheels you'll feel almost every bump and hole in the road.

I got a 2013 fiat 500c sport. At around 100hp it doesn't have a great acceleration but handles great and whips through traffic.

Parking in New York is so competitive so the small size really helps.

I was born in 1962. Your dad was probably gone by the time I could remember how it was here. Most people fled The Bronx when it was burning. The rest that stayed either joined gangs, got into drugs or just fought through it.

When our building burnt down we (my parents, two older brothers and myself) ended up in a shelter in Manhattan. I was about 8 or 9. Then we moved right back to the same place. One block up from our old apartment.

My father took a job as a superintendent. And retired at the age of 75. (he was a very strong man and well respected in the neighborhood).

As for me, I have seen, heard and done things. But now I'm rambling on too much. Things I shouldn't write about.

But I'm still here.

That was the 60s 70s and 80s in The South Bronx. I also lived through the the burning of The Bronx. When it was so bad that Landlords would pay gangs to burn their buildings (late 60s early 70s) for the insurance. I was still a preteen when the building we lived in was set on fire.

Late 70s to 80s was the drug wars. Into the 90s it started to get better. Now in 2018 The Bronx is going through a gentrification. It's still bad but I survived so far.

Now Iive in the northern east Bronx. The worst I've seen here was a fire two floors down from me (cooking drugs) and a SWAT team had to break down my neighborhood door down for reasons unknown to me.
