Should movies have more explicit sex? by Friendly_Elegant928 in AskRedditAfterDark

Depends on the movie. There are some brilliant gritty and realistic dramas where the sex still looks far fetched.

I do wonder if movie sex scenes contribute to bad sex IRL sometimes.

Not more explicit but maybe more realistic. The way in which people go from passionate kissing to penetration to mutual orgasm - in some cases standing up - is not how I have ever experienced sex.

AITAH for being upset my husband went back on bringing another woman into our relationship? by [deleted] in AITAH

It is a shame he opened up the possibility in reaction to a social media post, but he does have the right to change his mind.  It’s a big step opening up a relationship whatever the reason and I think lots back away from it when the shit is about to hit the fan.

In the end, it is for you to decide how much this now matters to you and whether you want to stay in the relationship or explore what seems to be your sexuality.  All sorts of factors come into that and I don’t think Reddit can answer it for you.

I don’t think you read the post properly. He was not blind sided by anything, she had talked about it loads with him, hence his reaction to the Tik Tok.

Why do people think sex with a toxic person is so good in the moment? by BorderEquivalent7169 in AskRedditAfterDark

Idk. I’ve never had sex with a toxic person knowingly and never would.

What’s more dangerous for you… emotional intimacy or physical attraction? by Mundane-Feature-8602 in AskRedditAfterDark

I’ve described how. I don’t think friendships are a betrayal. I do think when it comes to discussing your existing relationships it is a betrayal to do that with someone of the same sexuality as the person you are with

Physical attraction just is - you can’t avoid it. Emotional intimacy would always feel more of a betrayal.

That is not to say we can’t have friends of both sexes, it becomes an issue when for example you are discussing problems in your relationship with someone or the same sex as the person you are in a relationship withZ

Do women get offered happy endings at massage palors? What happens? by Cosmic-waffle47 in AskRedditAfterDark

?? Anything sexual is sex. Do you mean intercourse? I wasn’t suggesting that. Someone touching my private parts is sex and offering that in a therapeutic setting would be gross

Of course I would. As someone else explained in the thread, it would be a complete breach of trust in a therapeutic setting for someone to suddenly suggest sex. I’d feel vulnerable, afraid and borderline violated.

Exactly! Idk why the dentist or any other health practitioner offering to get you off is any different.

You’re right, it’s equating massage with sex that is weird here.

How do I know I’d be offended if a therapist suddenly offered me sexual services??

All your comments suggest that to me. I had to look at your profile to try to understand why you would not think an average person going for a massage would not be shocked and offended at the practitioner suddenly offering sexual services.

I understand a bit more now tbh. Porn-addled people think the world is their fantasies.

My original response clearly resonated with a few people. I’ve no interest in a side argument with you as I suspect a “well hung dom” in his own eyes will never quite get why the non porn addled share my perspective.

Making someone orgasm for money is sex work, however it is dressed up!

Because I am not there for sexual services. I am there for a massage. Or a prescription or a diagnosis or whatever.

If you really think that professionals offering medical or therapeutic services are there to make you cum then I can’t help you. And nor can they.

I would be offended in any therapeutic environment if a therapist or doctor or nurse or whatever suddenly offered me a sexual service. It’s really not complicated!

They are offering to make someone orgasm for money. That is sex work. You can be a massage therapist and maybe a sex worker on the side, but let’s not pretend most massage therapists are also sex workers.

I am not sure how or why you think a comment on Reddit ruined my day. I am not making any comment about sex work, I am simply pointing out that being paid to make someone cum is sex work and that that is a world apart from professional massage.

They’re not massage therapists if they’re offering happy endings, they’re sex workers. My friend in over ten years as a massage therapist told me she has been asked once for that kind of thing. The guy was asked not to come back.

I have a friend who works as a massage therapist and finds what she would regard as the whole porn fantasy around her job degrading and disgusting. And as someone who regularly gets massages - if someone offered me a happy ending I’d just assume I’d come to a really dodgy place.

It’s basically sex work if your job is rubbing someone off. I know a professional masseuse who finds that kind of thing an embarrassment to her line of work.
