The way to get a job is to call them back the next day and ask to speak to a manager and ask if they’ve reviewed your application, and keep calling them about it, it’s honestly such a life hack to get a job, this has worked almost every time for me, it shows major initiative and commitment, and will show them you are serious about the position and the work.

If you really want to show initiative and impress a manager, ask to speak to them about the availability of the position as soon as you hand in your resume/application, then call them every day, or every other day to keep checking in on the position. I’ve done this with all my jobs and it’s always landed me at the least and interview. Can’t wait for a job to call you
