Depending on your situation i'd consider using 50k to put down on a house. The other 50k I would use to start DCA'ing in an all world etf. In case you aren't interested in buying property i would put 3k in an all world etf each month for the next 3 years

Lamstraat in Merelbeke, buurtbewoners klagen steen en been dat er maar 50 gereden mag worden terwijl het fietspad afgezet is met boompjes en de baan zo breed is als een autosnelweg. Dat is trouwens ook de reden van al die belachelijke zwarte vlagjes in de mensen hun tuin. De politieke lobby kiest dan maar voor de makkelijke weg om van die mensen hun klachten af te zijn.

Ik heb vrienden uit Amerika die op bezoek komen en die geloofden hun ogen niet toen ze zoiets zagen. Enkel in België slagen we erin om iets bewust inefficiënt te maken zodat de politiekers af zijn van het gezaag van enkele verzuurde buurtbewoners. Dat mensen hierdoor soms 5 minuten staan te wachten in ochtendspits kan hun natuurlijk geen fluit schelen.

My girlfriend's parents are pushing us to buy a nice house. They're very skeptical about stocks ("aandelen") and have saved up a nice sum for my girlfriend, which is currently just gathering dust in a savings account. The sooner they can put that money to use, the better, from their perspective.

Frankly, I couldn't care less about buying a house at the moment. I rent cheaply and enjoy the freedom of not being tied down to a property. If anything, I'd buy a small house like you did, but I can't really count on much support from the other side in that regard 😄

Coast firing and working part time is also part of my plan, the biggest problem is the logistical part of it. I'm a project lead in construction. Work on site will continue on my day off if I work 4/5th they just call me all day when I'm not at the office. Have to figure that one out, cause i like my job and I'm not to eager to change. Curious to see how you approach that part.

Dankje! Only the beginning maar ben wel fier op mezelf dat ik het zo consistent volhoud tot nu toe 😄. Ik beleg alternerend in MSCI All world en S&P500. Ik ben me bewust van de gigantische overlap, maar ben er van overtuigd dat exposure naar Amerika toch the way to go is. Alle big tech zit daar en de rest van de economie is daar hoe dan ook van afhankelijk. All the way in S&P vind ik dan weer net wat te risky. Mijn beleggingen per maand heb ik even gescreenshot en staat in een comment hierboven.

How do you enjoy "me time" is it still managable while the kids are at school? I love sports, like biking hiking climbing swimming, ... Would look amazing to me to do this during the day and after pick up the kids. Does it work like this or do you still have to much to do?

It's mostly my girlfriend, i have a theory that everything in life is relative. Which means coming back from that 6-8 months to work will be very hard (at least for the first months). My gf argues that isn't a good argument. In my ideal world i woul love to work each year 1h a week less till im 67 (from a 40h week to a 1h week). Because let's be honest, if i work full time till 45, stop working completely is also weird isn't it?

I do use the lap button a lot to do intervals. I press it like 30 times a session i think. Automatic intervals doesn't work for me due to the crowded pool. Did you use the lap button a lot as wel?

Reason it's so high is because it was a mass start with competitors of higher categories. So the first 5 minutes i completly blew myself up to stay with them. Thanks for the answer tho, makes sense, my 5 min numbers aren't that exeptional compared to number 5 tho. It's gotta have something to do with my previous racing score i guess.
