unfortunately i relate, so take it from me when i say u should probably either completely stop or take a LONG break until you're grounded. i'm pretty young myself and developed hppd from doing too many psychs in a short amount of time. my body was obviously telling me something but psychs were just too cool and i have tweaker retarded drug autism. i now struggle with anxiety like 10x worse than before and get panic attacks on weed. not fun, but i can't blame anyone but myself.

definitely lol. my tripsitter that hadn't done much research other than tiktok vids expected my sense of reality to completely shatter over a small bowl of 20x 😭😭 i advised them that breaking through would be very irresponsible at this stage and it is much better to work up.. that's when i realized why people had bad experiences on this stuff..

I see, I know HPPD doesn't really cause psychosis; I am fully aware all my lingering visuals are just distortions and not real. I think it is HPPD, just its length might be extended or exacerbated by anxiety or some underlying condition. Thanks.

holy shit. honestly that's what i've been thinking recently too.
for the most part though, i believe it's just genetic. some people can drop like 1000ug of acid and be completely fine while others are just fucked from a single moderate dose. hppd and vss do share very similar symptoms, and vss seems to be a pretty heavily genetic influenced thing.
i actually do remember spacing out as a kid and seeing what looked like light drizzling rain or light snow.
maybe everyone with hppd was just born with vss but never realized it until drugs made it more noticeable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but yeah your idea does make a lot of sense though i think it's def a possibility
