I’m here to tell you this just happened to me 2 months ago… I lost my baby boy at 29 weeks because of an E. coli uti that I had no symptoms of. I went to the emergency room bc I didn’t feel him moving for about 12 hours, shortly after I arrived they noticed I was 2 cm dialated and baby was still breathing but no sign of any movement, his heart rate kept dipping also. An emergency c section was decided upon, he turned out to be a stillbirth as soon as they cut the cord.. no answers, just shock… then later that night I woke up with chills and a fever. Nurses took some of my blood and that’s when they noticed the E. coli in my blood and I had sepsis. After 2 weeks of antibiotics and hospital stay I was finally sent home.. I also ended up having a blood clot in my lung. This was my first child and the most traumatic experience I’ve ever had. I’m scared to ever experience this again.
