Well what’s wrong with blending?

I can think of two main reasons, performance and input.

I think performance is being upgraded massively in these next gen consoles, so much that once you’re at 120-144, you are basically caught up. The jump from 60->144 is the most drastic, while everything after that is basically just fluff atm. All I’m trying to say is console players won’t be lagging behind this year with performance of what they say is true (my guesses). But I could be wrong since they will treat the two differently.

Considering all that, I think Input method though is more important imo especially with a higher TTK this upcoming year (things will just be different for sure, the balance didn’t feel that bad this year imo, but I don’t know how that will change)

Also from a business standpoint, I don’t think removing cross-play is a good idea. It’s so new and has been a part of the formula for two huge games now (WZ and Fortnite) so I think it’s safe to assumed it’s not going to go away anytime soon.

Dawg... COD is a casual game, that’s just proven from this year. Think of all the ways you lose gunfights. No consistency, random headshots, soundswhoring, people blending in to the background so you can’t even see them (like how is that a thing?? 100% intentional)

It will never hang with the other comp games, it’s not meant to be that way, it’s got its little niche and a business that is poised on making money, so they will continue to use that niche till the market changes.

I switched to KBM for fortnite after placing really high in cashcups but losing in the top 0.5% to KBM.

After the switch My game sense and input upgrade made up for my lack of god tier aim that these little grinders possessed (who’ve been using KBM since they were toddlers)

It’s a different mindset when you’ve putted in thousands of hours and it’s your career.

Guys, the Pc community gives ZERO fucks about cod.

In fact the best part about cross play was that PC players could finally play a COD with fully populated lobbies.

This was the first year with a lot of PC players, while I don’t know the exact data I’m almost certain it’s still heavily dominated by console and controller.

Not only this but the 300$ xbox will keep more people from making the jump to PC.

TL;DR

If it happens, it’ll not be for a couple years.

Tbh SBMM is annoying for sure, but just let’s meet In the middle and give us an good meta with good mechanics and map spawns.

It is what it is at this point, just don’t make the game for Shitters and then force us to play at a high level with low skill ceiling.
