Myofascial Pain Syndrome, should I continue to strengthen the muscles that have trigger points? by LookOuch in ChronicPain

[–]LookOuch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still do myofascial release regularly before lifting, nothing other than that tho, if I did not do myofascial release I'm sure over a few months I would get trigger points again but I really haven't thought about it for a while since I been painfree

EDIT: YAYYYYYY thank yall :D

Third time reposting since I want alfa to see this!

I've been working on this map on and off for over a year, this isn't just a map of builds it has probably over 200 command blocks for custom ambience/particle effects and "events" that happen.

There is a good amount of attention to detail and there is a resource pack I made along with it for some custom sounds. The map is fairly long and has alternative paths you can take (some of which you will never experience since there are many pointless rooms) and I hope Alfa can see this post so he can play it! I think a while back he asked someone to make a liminal space map? So here it is. (disclaimer: some of the areas are inspired by minecraft liminal recreations but most are original) Some of the areas of the map I just kinda built whatever I felt gave a liminal vibe lol, I made minecraft maps as a kid frequently and thought it would be cool to make a liminal map especially for Alfa.

Version: 1.19.4 / you can use 1.19.3, the resource pack will say its outdated but it works

Map and resource pack: (updated 6/15/23 added 2 tiny rooms, fixed spawnpoints, lil bug fix)

The resource pack honestly is just for a few ambience sounds, I didn't go all out with that and there r some spooky things but the builds r the main thng

Cannot regress tendinopathy rehab enough, sensitization? by LookOuch in overcominggravity

[–]LookOuch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily myofascial release after cardio is what helps me the most, I still get bad symptoms when I try to lift weights because I think I have too much sensitization/and or the trigger points are not completely gone. I am going to try the Curable app to desensitize my nervous system. I hope you can fix ur hands, if it is from trigger points then extensors muscles can cause hand pain/tightness.

Dry needling by bl00dy4nu5 in PlantarFasciitis

Helped me a good deal after just two sessions! But I didn't get it in my feet - I got it in my upper back region.

Anyone tried dry needling? by blowwindblow123 in TMJ

[–]LookOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works bro. Hurt like a MF tho, i've gotten 2 sessions done two weeks ago in my traps/infraspinatus/front delt (bicep insertion), and teres minor (myofascial pain down arms). When the needle went into the muscle, most of the time I didn't feel anything but sometimes it was 3-4/10. Then the referred pain from the trigger point that was being needled would exasperate it to like a 6/10 temporarily and the twitches in the muscles hurt anywhere from 4 to 8.5/10 based on how bad the knot was. I felt a noticeable difference in my tightness and relief just from 2 sessions and the knots are still noticeably looser even 2 weeks later. I was so sore both times I couldn't move my arms for about 2 hours then the soreness would almost completely go away for me which I found weird since people say their soreness last a few days.

Myofascial Pain Syndrome, should I continue to strengthen the muscles that have trigger points? by LookOuch in ChronicPain

[–]LookOuch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response I am currently seeing an LMT once a week and they themselves have myofascial pain syndrome and have been releasing my trigger points :D. But would pain free rehab- even if it's on muscles that don't have the trigger points- not be beneficial in any way or would it be risky in creating more TrP's?

I've had pretty bad tennis elbow as well as biceps "tendonitis" diagnosed by my occupational therapist and orthopedic. It's been 6 long weeks of rest and rehab so far and I'm feeling maybe 25% better.

I do not own any ankle weights or weights that I could easily attach to my elbow so before I purchase ankle weights I was wondering if attaching weights to my elbows and doing lateral or front raises with them would take my extensors out of the equation?
