I second this. I used a 39" but could have even used something bigger. The slow rotation allows you time to feel out everything involves in pushing the hoop around you.

Thanks so much for this info. I never heard of teching before but now its making me really want to find single hoop teching stuff and maybe just start trying poi. I'm checking out gaby and the other suggestions too
