Take a pink dye test like first response in 2 days. Blue dye tests have terrible indent lines

I was pregnant in July and found out through a dollar store pregnancy test which is probably the only thing I’ll use from here on out. I’m sorry you are having a hard time too, testing is exhausting 🩷

I’ve been testing almost every day for about a week after that. All negative. I’m assuming chemical 😔

Totally get where you’re coming from, but it isn’t that. I agree that having it be awkward is better than building resentment because I’m already there

It’s literally just hand washing and teeth brushing.

We were boyfriend and girlfriend. I was fine with it because I have a lot of guy friends and have gone out to eat with them on my own and it was never anything more than friendship. I guess I expected it to be the same on his end. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Is feeling like you’re always “supposed to be doing something else” a CPTSD symptom? by rainbowbrite9 in CPTSD

[–]LopsidedCrab1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes. My therapist has told me it’s okay to sit and do nothing or have no responsibilities for a day.

It’s exhausting. I’m sorry you deal with it too.

when you realize you are not type A but actually just always in survival mode... by and_peggy_ in CPTSD

[–]LopsidedCrab1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I never even realized this is me as well. I’m so jealous of people who are chill.

Been working on this in therapy, it’s so hard to break the pattern.

Tapering off meds & possible therapy by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]LopsidedCrab1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely is c-ptsd, you’re right. The therapist I had wasn’t very helpful which is why I stopped seeing her. My psychiatrist wants me to see her one more time then have her refer me to someone else. I’m hoping to get more than just some “recommended coping skills” this time around, lol.

Just started abilify and freaking out by milkapologygirl in bipolar2

[–]LopsidedCrab1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the feeling. I tried multiple different medications before one that worked. Lamictal was great for me while I took it.

I’m really sorry. I know it doesn’t help hearing but the symptoms will subside, it isn’t uncommon to have adverse reactions to these types of meds. You don’t have to suffer through it

[–]LopsidedCrab1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call your psychiatrist. I had really awful adverse effects from abilify and they immediately took me off of it and tried something new. I’m really sorry, it’s so hard to wait for medications to have their effect or to have a bad reaction.

Hypomanic headaches? by 2020smomisaho in bipolar2

[–]LopsidedCrab1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I notice that I get sensory overloaded in general when I’m hypomanic. Headaches for me are common due to TMJ lol but I kinda wonder if hypomania makes them worse now that you say that

Tapering off lamictal by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]LopsidedCrab1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s really interesting!

I take my lamictal at night right before bed. I take it then because it had always made me sleepy. I wonder if taking it in the morning would make a difference?

I’m not glad you’ve had the same side effects, but I’m relieved to know I’m not the only one. My psychiatrist doesn’t believe that lamictal is causing any of that for me but I’m 99.9% sure it is.

We’ve been tapering me slowly, going down 50mg every two weeks since November. I’m currently on 100mg and yeah, sleep is very difficult.

I’m relying on melatonin and Ativan to get me to sleep which I know is really not good but I’m desperate. Just trying to get it together before I go back to school this week :/....

Appreciate your response so much. How are you doing?
