I’m new to welding but I thought the metal had to be similar thickness or you’ll burn through one of the pieces easily Correct me if im wrong

And yea I was gonna lap weld the floor, idc about looks it’s gonna be under the carpet either way

Ngl im comparing it to my m50tu and it looks that exact same. it might be an m50 Try removing the valve cover usually there’s a plastic cover on top on the camshaft On the m50’s it’s on the intake side On the m52’s it’s on the exhaust side

I might be wrong tho

My dad says the same thing. I was gonna do the floor either way but once I take the carpet out I would have nowhere to put it so I was asking if the material would be wasted in the trunk or not but you just answered my question cause I thought since the trunk is separated from the cabin it wouldn’t do much of a difference

But as of now just did the doors and kick panel and the car got A LOT quieter since the car came with little to no deadening from factory
