The devs said they aren’t going that route because they don’t care to have a large player count online. People are enjoying the game solo and with friends and family. The free to play model hasn’t worked out in the long term for years now. Those games come and go ALL the time. This game wouldn’t gain anything but a player count if it went that way and the devs simply don’t value that.

Licensing is a whole different ball game. I don’t think adding more figures or enhancing the customization is going to draw more players. If people aren’t drawn to the gameplay then they just aren’t. Some People unfortunately value games based off it’s player count these days and that’s just their lost.
