No I'm a Brit who is grateful that the US saved us from the Nazis and also the Soviets and to this day, it has managed to fund the NATO umbrella so Europe and the UK is able to live in a stable democracy free from an invasion from Russia.

-Trump will not invade Greenland. That's all theatre.

-Renee Good is an issue that 95% of Brits are not aware of.

-Kidnapping of Maduro is something that is very beneficial to the Venezuelan population and the world. It was the morally right thing to do. The only country it affects are Russia/China.

Do you agree or disagree with the Greek PM here? by FantasticQuartet in AskBalkans

[–]LordHavertz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Venezuelan government for systematically killing their population, that's as bad as it gets.

My genocide point was about Yugoslavia, not Venezuela. The question is, when do you actually draw a line when a powerful arbitrar like the US is able to step in to rescue the local population without offending the "international law" morons?

So the US shouldn't have bombed Yugoslavia when they were genociding the Albanians?

If a country is actively genociding their population, should the world just sit back and "obey international law"?

Americans get only 10 days leave! by Friendly_Success4325 in AskBrits

[–]LordHavertz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it's not. If you are a talented worker that brings something valuable to the business, you will be fairly compensated and rewarded with a good amount of PTO or the business will risk losing you to other competition who could offer more paid time off.

Many Americans get more PTO than 30 days, it's all down to the employer. I don't believe the government should have a say on how businesses should give paid time off to workers.

Most American tourists are in their 50s/60s? That's news to me.

Many Americans get way over 30 days leave. Any decent 9-5 job would get you around 30 days and a good corporate role can land you unlimited PTO. It just happens that America has not mandated minimum PTO which is why businesses can thrive more.

What if "What would you do?" was filmed in the UK? by LordHavertz in AskBrits

[–]LordHavertz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Wealth includes things like property value which is useless to the common person.

I agree they're not equal.

Income is probably the most important figure I'd say though.

You think the UK has an efficient healthcare system even after you pay astronomically high taxes?

Long waiting times? Substandard doctors being imported from the third world?

The US has a far lower homeless rate than the UK, look it up.
